    Ingram's a true Sophomore, meaning he is not eligible for the draft. What a beast running attack next year. Now Earl Thomas, on the other hand, is a red shirt Sophomore, he is eligible for the draft.

    Ah I forgot about that. I could've sworn he was a Junior... but yeah... I mean it won't be easy for Alabama to repeat a possible undefeated season again... but it's possible with the same team. Gives them two shots at the national title really then.

    I thought the "national championship" crown wasn't because it was the BCS. It's cause the coaches poll automatically crowns the BCS winner their champion and the Coaches have been giving out a national champion forever.


    AFAIK, there is no BCS trophy.

    Got my student ticket today... needless to say I am STOKED!

    I went to Omaha to see the 'Horns play in June, and now I will be in Pasadena to see them in January. What an awesome senior year. :cool:

    What was the process like for students to get tickets and were they at face value?

    Bah! True fans road trip. You have a chance to reflect on the lost part of Texas as you drive across New Mexico and contemplate the intricacies of the game as you traverse the Mojave Desert. You wind up in LA with a Texas license plate and a UT sticker on your car and impress the locals and the Bama fans with your dedication. When Texas wins, you get to drive back across the same terrain throwing the Hook 'em sign at every passing motorist.

    LOL I don't think Bama fans are going to be "impressed" with the suggested dedication. Bama fans are the most die hard in the nation; it's sickening. There will be multiple convoys of RVs all along that route, all from Bama fans who won't actually be going to the game, but -- get this -- they will actually be driving FARTHER to California than Texas fans!

    I actually booked my (non-refundable) plane ticket after the Oklahoma State game. Needless to say, the last two games have nearly given me heart attacks. :grin:

    About three or so weeks ago, all of the students got an email that told us to send in bowl game ticket requests. It was a list of every possible bowl we could attend, and we put in requests for which one we'd like to go to. For the National Championship, only like 1900 students got tickets (thank goodness I'm a senior) and we got them for $220. (I think face value is $275, but not sure.) I got a ticket for below face, and have a free place to stay... so, I'm pretty darn happy with how things turned out.

    It'd be nice to see Colt play with a vengeance because he won't win the Heisman and the Heisman winner will most likely be on the other side of the field. Vince Young-esque.

    The school gets 19000 tickets but only 10% are allocated to students!

    according to my boss who attended the awards ceremony in NYC this week, colt sustained a concussion they believe sometime in the first half of the big XII title game. my boss is an ole miss grad, btw.

    I wouldn't have been surprised if it was that play where he was tackled out of bounds by Suh and then he hurt his left wrist. Regardless, I don't think that's the reason for him doing bad... gotta give all the credit in the world to Suh and that Nebraska defense.
