Codell and R2K for some great car advice. Anytime a car thread pops up, rest assured both of these guys will help. Mrs. Codell for helping me buy my first house (in the very near future). tozai (and the late LeGrouper) for tons of great workout advice. These guys know their stuff even if they didn't get along. MoBalls for trying to book my band, even though we couldn't do it. B-Ball Freak for sitting in with my band on very short notice and getting us out of a jam. Lots of people with encouraging words when I decided to cut waaay back on my drinking. Way too many others to list.
i'd like to thank those who recommended firefox and have helped me out with my computer problems when they were helping others. you guys have made my PC experience so much better. although, i apologize for not knowing the names.

Let's see, there are many I would like to cite including: Dog advice - Rileydog, thumbs, and Surfguy - really helped me in the beginning with Jake Music - TheFreak along with Lynus and R2K for heavy metal/hard rock and Palmray, rudager, peleincubus, and FranchiseBlade for indie-rock More music - Jeff, MadMax, and dylan (among others) for jazz and Batman Jones and BobFinn* for Bob Dylan works Many others for their friendship and help on countless other things - you know who you are! And I would like to also mention 3 other people: 1) Nomar (yes, him!) - he was the one who introduced me to the OOTP sim and never have I had an addiction to one thing like I do with this computer game. If you love baseball and don't know about the OOTP game, I recommend you to find out about it immediately! 2) Mango - he gave me insight and helped me through a rough beginning in the fall of 2001 here. I can't thank him enough for helping me "learn" the board. 3) Behad - like Mango, he gave me tutorials on BBS etiquette but he wasn't as subtle. It was an honor to meet both Mango and Behad in person (along with so many other BBSers); I just wished that I was more outgoing in talking with them.

Hmm, I don't really know. Atlanta is 3 hours away, so Savannah might be 4 hours. I need to check that when I have more free time (I actually have work to do - real work!)
when i had trouble with my guitar: rocketman tex offered someone in houston - that was really cool. mc mark refered his friend in new york - to which i brought my guitar and got it fixed within a day... i've been lurking under several names (unintentionally) since 1994 and have seen a lot of great people with great hearts. you guys are awesome.
Savannah is about 4 hours from Atlanta (I am a little fuzzy, i only made the trip once about 3 years ago). So, from you it would be 6-7.
I still won't forget rockHEAD sending me that 10 dollar gift certificate to Blockbuster about 3 years ago. Major props to Raven Lunatic AKA RunninRaven, he's the coolest dude you will ever talk to and I wish he was around more. Also props to my NIMF counterparts Zac_D, Nomar (hope you get back on here someday) and Htownhero. And I pretty much hate everyone else.
I've met so many from this board and count quite a few of them as my friends that I could make a huge list. I have to say that MadMax lending a supportive ear when I found out that my sister lost her baby was very important and special to me. As was TheFreak calling me a couple of times to see how she was doing. That really touched me. He called more me more than our own brother has called her. Of course, I should add Major since he signs my paychecks.
I'd like to thank Trader_Jorge and SamFisher. Reading their epic battles in the D&D every day makes my boring workday go by much faster.

speaking of which... i was gonna start a thread about it the other day, but then i guess i forgot -- what happened to Nomar? got tired of the bbs? banned? kill bill 2 too good now he's ashamed for slamming it? who's going to dismissively shoot down all of my and everyone else's ideas now?
