What someone 'actually' practices and what they advocate philosophically (much less what they are connected to) are rarely the same.

    For example...

'In her later years, Rand applied herself to the development of her philosophy in lectures and works of nonfiction such as The Virtue of Selfishness and Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal. An often fractious intellectual movement grew up around Rand and her work, and although she disavowed the label "libertarian," Rand's political thought has had great influence in the contemporary libertarian movement. Rand's writings continue to serve as a popular source of interest in moral individualism and libertarian political theory.' (libertyguide.com)

So it would seem that someone could be libertarian and read Rand and agree with her writings.

And don't worry about being 'mean' to me.

RM95 would poop on himself if it would make himself poopier.

Luckily, that's very possible and it happens regularly.

Ayn Rand was the worst sort of mercenary b****. I can't believe anyone would take her garbage claptrap seriously. It's like asking for a moral venereal disease.

My longest thread has turned into a clique-ish mudslinging fest.

    I'm so proud! :D

Most threads with Rocketman95's participation degenerate in a similar fashion.

That's funny, I think most on this board would agree that it was your participation that caused it, towel boy.

Yeah, I meant it the other way around, anyway...I know that Libertarians look to her, and I agree with people rarely following their ideaology fully. Rand was really pretty fascistic in her personal and professional life.

I wasn't talking about being mean to you, by the way...but to Rand - she was very touchy. :)

Well, for better or worse, you have your answer in full, AntiSonic.

If this BBS was the last group of humans alive, we apparently would fall into two heated arguments: one concerning who pooped on whom or some such; and one brazenly attempting to intellectually dissect Rand, a quixotic adventure akin to attempting to satiate a 10-day hunger on a 10-year old chicken bone.

    Utopia? Pretty close, IMO. :)

this board if it were a world or country itr would be much like afghanistan..there are so many bull headed people here there would be constant war..some dictators would arise but only to be brought down in military coups..

I only come here to point out the inconsistencies of everyones arguments especially the high amount of know it alls and the like..
the funniest to me is to see their crappy bbs world shattered through a few statements pointing to the contrary and displaying the obvious..

plus there arent enough women here as stated and it scares me to think what these *females* must be like ..i can only picture combat boots and buzz cuts..

He has the right to express his opinion. Maybe he comes here to learn how not to think. Either way, its his choice as long as he's not being disruptive.

    Dumb ****.
