I like both, but RM95 bought me a rediculously overpriced beer at a DMB concert. What have you done for me "Mad" Max? Nothing, thats what. Go RM95!
The last few days, I have had a hard time picking one over the other. MadMax is probably my all around fave poster. RM95 is right up there too. Both are good Seinfeld posters, or at least, they think they are. There was also that time when RM95 jinxed an Astros no hitter last year. I say co-best posters: MadMax and Rm95. Just like the AP coaches poll and the BCS fiasco. Ok seriously. Im going to give RM95 the edge. No shame in losing to the eventual champion. heh
Gotta vote for RM95. Max, I love ya, but my vote goes to RM95 since he and I have spent quality brain cell killing time together!
Having read all 27,000 posts leading up to this defining moment... Both are great. I almost wish they would post even more I find Max's posts particularly well thought out, and surprisingly clear. I'm gaining more and more respect for his insight. I'll defer to it here. RM95.
I am stuck. If I have a favored poster of the two, I believe two things logically follow: (1) I should vote for that favored poster. (2) I should take that poster's advice before I take the less favored poster's advice. But when they both do this nice guy thing, positions (1) and (2) necessarily conflict. I will spend the rest of my life in an interative voting loop, a logical man driven mad by this contest, a dog ordered to chase his own tail, a june bug smashing itself into the brightest lights of the BBS.
Well since you put it that way... I think they are both great posters, not as great as the Farrah poster I had on my ceiling as a kids but... Oh well the vote has been cast and they are both deserving.
Well, the results are in and a big congratulations to this year's winner: Rocketman95 aka Hangout Boy! All in all, I enjoyed doing this, but I still have not made up my mind if I want to do this again next year. But I want to hear feedback from others about this. What are some ways to make this thing better? Is this something that people would want to have every year? Do we want to think of another way to decide who is in the tourney than what has been done before? Feel free to add anything else that you deem relevant. Serious suggestions, only.
If you decide to do it again, I would suggest allowing a two week period prior to when you want to do it so that others could nominate posters to be in it that might not be remembered by you or whoever you get to help nominate. Im afraid me and behad where of very little help to ya, and some deserving guys got left out this year. maybe make a thread allowing people to nominate others, and see if there is anyone that would second the nomination in order to add them to the list. just an idea. otherwise, you did good running it this year.
wow...i hope this doesn't sound either, 1. ungrateful...or 2. like sour grapes because i didn't finish first!! .... but what's the impetus for this? i mean, i have a number of friends who post here...and i'm not real comfortable choosing between my friends..."yeah, i like you more because of X..but i like him more because of Y." everyone contributes something unique here...and ultimately it becomes a quasi-popularity contest that has nothing to do with posting style or anything like that..it becomes simply who ya like best for whatever reason you can possibly imagine, be it inside or outside this message board. there are some fragile egos here, and i'm not sure that this helps much. i'm sincerely flattered for all of the kind words everyone had for me...truly...it's very nice. but i'm thinking it wouldn't be a bad thing if we didn't do this again at all. just my $.02
