What a great final. I respect both posters greatly, but I'm givng Madmax the nod. He was a great friend in a time of need, and that is something I greatly respect and attempt to emulate.

    Madmax on this one.

    RM95.

But make no mistake: MadMax is deserving as well.

Just like the BCS I vote for a tie.

    First time ever split champions.

    Congrats to both.

    Hmm... let's see

RM95 -- Has been banned previously for extremely vulgar posts, attacks anyone who doesn't like UT-Austin, can act like an incredible curmudgeon, and even had the *gall* to tell Refman, "No wonder you are unemployed" or something to that effect. Kicking a man when he is down is the worst thing you can do. RM95 did it. To Refman no less. I will never forget that. People -- do not confuse quantity with quality with his posting.

MadMax - A geniunely good person who contributes substance to this board.

    The choice is very clear.

I appreciate the kinds words. Of course, you fail to remember, as I remind you every time you post this drivel, that Refman and I are friends. He, MadMax, my best friend and I shared beers and dinner one night while watching the Rockets.

You can campaign against me all you want, I don't care. For starters, I'm going up against one of my true friends. Secondly, had I lost in any round before now, it'd have been to great posters.

However, even if I did care, I don't think I'd be worried anyway. You're obssession with me and your hopes and dreams that people see me as you do is simply not ringing true with the vast majority of people since I have made it this far. Plus, how many people are going to listen to a

SECOND ROUND LOSER (to his second least favorite poster...HAHAHA!)

Of course, I mean no disrespect to the good posters, of which T_J is not, who were ousted in the first or second rounds. :)

Tough choice. I like them both equally, you see. But MadMax's overwhelming reasonableness, despite his conservatism, earns him my vote.

Hard, Difficult choice, two grand posters that meets my specifications for being a darn good poster: 1.) perceived quality of posts...2.) Ability to post well in 3 or more categories...3.) Consideration for others, humor, personality at above average levels...4.) Intangibles; both have them in varying areas...

Tough, both deserve to be the one,...but my choice is MadMax!

Fellow second round losers, unite, and smite down this infidel. The disclaimer means nothing.

    1. I like both these fine posters.

    2. This title means nothing unless you're Refman who probably taunts Max everytime they meet with annoying chants of "Who's your Daddy!" Max should have something with which to counter Ref.

    3. I respect Max's willingness to consider other views.

    4. Even given the above statement, RM95 and I are closer in outlook.

    5. RM95 skis.

    6. Max is a lawyer.

    7. From what I can tell from all the people that have met him, RM95 appears to be an egregious glad-hander.

    So, let's recap...

Number 1 is split, 2 and 3 favor Max, 3 and 4 favor RM95. Each get a negative for 6 and 7 respectively leaving the score tied at 1.5 each.

So much for the purely objective criteria. On to the subjective...

Since RM95 and I are fairly close in outlook, that means he is almost at the pinnacle of goodness and light. Max on the other hand, has a ways to go. Thus I choose Max in the hopes that this honor will move him further away from the dark side.

    MAX.

I made it to the second round

    I beat a 1 seed.

Let's have a fight, MadMax and RM95 vs Kam in a steel cage in the middle of Reliant Stadium. We will see who the real number one is.

but seeing as it won't happen, i'll give the nod to rm95.

Why do I get the feeling that, if you wound up winning, it would appear on your resume?
