I screwed Sonny on his seed and he was another cool guy that I met in person. TheFreak along with Rockets2K is one of my favorite music posters to read here as well as some other things. Toughest decision of them all is for me to abstain in this matchup. Also, I just wanted to add that going through these matchups reinforces how hard it was to leave people out like Uprising and DavidS and the seedings (as you can see with some) were even harder to do.

To tell the truth, I'm having some trouble with the voting. I mean, if this is an annual event, are we supposed to vote based on a poster's performance over the last year? I see some problems because many of the contestants listed are either not posting any more or not posting often enough (like myself). e.g. Just look at the West II division: heypartner - Not posting for a few months now Almu - rarely posts because I didn't notice him over the past year The Cat - Not posting in major forums since... well, beginning of the year Achebe - Stopped posting outlaw - I don't remember his posts as well, so he must have not post often Live - Stopped posting since August The above names account for half of the nominees in the West II division. I know this is supposed to be fun & should not be treated seriously, but perhaps the criteria for selecting the nominees could have been a little better (maybe next time)-- e.g. Start a nomination thread to determine the nominees instead of having one or a few people making the decision. And the seedings can be determined from the number of votes a poster gets nominated instead of from whatever method it's been done right now. Another advantage with the nomination method is, we don't really need 128 entrants - just 64 or 32 would be sufficient to determine the best posters. I really don't see much purpose to start more than a dozen of threads and thousands of posts for a game like this. I am sure Clutch will be happier if we can save him some bandwidth and $$$. Just my 2c.
That's what the Clutch Awards are for, right? Besides, a lot has happened since the last tourney, and this presents opportunities for entertaining matchups you likely wouldn't see there, like inter-league baseball or something.
If that's the case, & since we already have the Clutch Awards annually, then there is no much point to have this tournament except for entertainment reason. I think it would be better to keep this tournament only for those who would like to participate -- i.e. Who would be interested to be included & be a participant in this tourney. I'm saying that because I'm sure there are others like myself who don't feel comfortable to be included in a tourney like this. And if it's going to be a tourney, it is a must that participants are willing to take part. It would be better & have more fun to give the spots for those who would like to participate instead of those who are no longer here or unwilling to take part, and that's why I propose the nomination/participation thread so that those who would like to participate in this tourney could nominate for themselves & those who don't want to take part could say no.
