A few important things AScrubChi can do

    1) Keep the bench hot and toasty

    2) Twirl a towel in Arsenio Hall fashion

    3) Do the waive

Ok, I have no idea what he can do.

I'm willing to give Amaechi a chance, what's the use bashing him? Because he didn't play well for the Jazz? Screw the Jazz, he played well for Orlando, well enough that the Lakers offered him a big contract. Until he stinks it up for the Rockets I'm willing to let him prove himself. If he played like he did for Orlando we will be VERY good down low in the post as far as depth is concerned.

i just can't remove the memory of amaechi absolutely torching hakeem. that was a sight. if he can play anything remotely close to how he played in orlando (where he was a ROY candidate, btw), cato is instantly expendable.

Uhh... it's a feature story, not a hard-news story. There's a difference. Obviously they're going to cheer on their only guy in the NBA.

I wonder how he fared against Van Gundy's knicks his rookie season?

Perhaps VGhad a very good first impression of Amaechi, which could be a precursor to if, and how much VG will use him.

Plus, it's cool to have a 6'10" dictionary walking around on the sidelines, so that when VG uses words that the other 11 (14 counting IR) don' t understand, he can explain it to them.

I could be wrong but didn't John play for Cleveland Cav's for a little bit till he got cut from the team? Therefore, when John played for Orlando it was really his second year in the NBA and he wouldn't be eligible for rookie of the year.

So we added 6 fouls to the roster....and an outside threat for a big guy....it could be a lot worse.

I'll wait to see what the guy can do for us before I start bashing him.

Amaechi may be a poor man's Joe Berry Carol.
