Here is another mini breakdown on our offense faster than the SSOL Suns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOuao50kyjs
Robinson's gonna be a great piece for finishing fast breaks. I think he'll be the fastest guy on the court
Wow, very interesting break down. It's amazing how aware players have to be when all this is happening in real time.
I don't think the Thunder are going to make it past the Spurs. They are going to abuse their defensive mistakes and Harden won't be there to save them and Martin isn't ever going to fill that late game clutch role that Harden did.
I agree, and I find it amazing that McHale has been able to get all our young guys to come together as well as they have. McHale has said that it just takes time for young players to learn how to play good team defense. I can see how it's going to be a challenge to add a young player like Robinson to the mix this late in the season.
Good video as usual by Coach Nick. As McHale said post game, the strategy was to pack the paint and dare OKC to make 3s. They made many of them, especially Sefolosha, but not enough to overcome 22 TOs and great offense by HOU.
Agreed....KD helped to lose that game just as much as WB. Forcing up those bad shots and missing shooters in the corner.
And the Rockets are showing some defensive strategy and tactics finally. That is what I took away from the video.
great breakdown ... I think OKC is going to regret prioritizing Westbrook and Ibaka over Harden. This year, and for years to come.
Fantastic job by Coach Nick. He can break down play after play better than most analysts. I thought he was a little tough on Westbrook, but hey, that's what coaching is about. And it's pronounced:
Re: the play out of the timeout at 2:53 I'm not so sure the Thunder actually called a screen&roll for Durant. They frequently will use the screen&roll as a decoy to counter defenses loading up, trying to clear out the lane for Westbrook to drive. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PbnvqIx5AyA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/nzSILHEpi4Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Coach Nick highlighted it once or twice, but the Rockets brought an extra defender zoning up early all game any time the Thunder went to the Westbrook-Durant angle pick&roll. The Rockets also incorporated a new pick&roll set-up to spread the Thunder out and made some adjustments on offense to counter the Thunder being overly aggressive on all pick&rolls.
they are all nba teams. sometimes just pick a poison to swallow and hope everything is ok. if asking a defense minded coach, they will be ok with doing whatever to stop star and letting other players to beat you.
