To me as a completely uninformed outsider, she comes across as a hell of a basketball coach who says some really stupid stuff more often than she should
There apparently were some comments made to one news source about insistence on a raise and having her name be the name of the new arena. She denied that yesterday, but as I understand it the comments were already made to the media previously. Even the guy who reported her denial yesterday said on twitter that he "wasn't being naive" in reporting her denial. I don't follow womens basketball much, but obviously Mulkey is an exceptional coach. She did a ton for BU athletics generally, and built a blueblood womens program. But we've seen those programs fall off when coaches have moved on...the next hire for that spot will obviously be critical, but it's a really good job, clearly.
