You can't be serious. Don't get me wrong ... Drew is a phenomenal recruiter and my hat is off to him. But in the world of D-1 college basketball there are many many coaches that work just as hard as him, but they obviously are not working as smart as him.

At least tell me something like he is extremely sincere while lying (because all good recruiters are good at lying as is every great salesman).

Who knows and I really don't care. The fact that a player ranked number 1 would even seriously consider Baylor is a miracle. The program was pretty much dead when Drew took and he has done a remarkable job turning things around.

I think everyone echoes this statement, and I'll consider this a retraction of your "Drew outworks everyone else" comment.

Um, am I missing something in the translation from the thread title to the facts?

The actual athlete has not signed anything with Baylor. This is about a coach signing. The kid would have to have rocks in his head to just ignore offers from Kansas, etc.

No offense to Baylor... (okay, a little offense where possible :D )

I'm excited but at the same time I understand nothing's official. I don't want to be disappointed again, like with the whole Darrell Arthur thing a couple years ago.
