Watching the Texans made me think about blowing up stuff which reminded me of my current weekend diversion...the BF4 Beta. Anybody else playing this other than me? Thoughts? I like how they simplified the vehicle controls so that you don't have to have a masters degree in physics to fly. It's still challenging enough so that everybody can't do it and you still need to practice at it, but for a person like me who focuses mainly on infantry, I feel like I can hop in something and help my team in more ways if need be. Also, the skyscraper collapsing during the game is pretty epic.

I like it so far. I only hopped in a chopper once so far, and it seems the same. Unless I just didn't notice. What did they change?
The controls are definitely a little different from BF3 although without the controller in my hands, it is a little difficult to explain in what ways lol. The tanks are definitely different too. I was on Battlelog just now to make sure I wasn't crazy and it seems like a lot of people don't like it because it's different and they don't want to learn new controls, but I think they are good changes.
Played it on PC. Movement and aiming feels a lot different than BF3. I can't put my finger on what it is but I'm guessing it's more fluid. The one thing that caught me off guard compared to BF3 was the multilevel buildings that are actually scalable, and I mean WAY up there. Damn snipers shooting me from a mile away and ****. Being a Beta, it's still buggy as ****. Had to disable crossfire cause it would leave me stuck at the black "Loading" screen even though I can hear the gaming sounds playing. The map choice this time around was much better than BF3's Metro beta map -- The exact opposite even. More of a half-assed BF2 throwback map than a half-ass, wanna-be COD map, in my opinon.
The somewhat hidden Obliteration game mode is fun. Kind of like Demolition on Call of Duty with tanks, jet skis and choppers though. Lots of kills and action.
