Is the game worth trading in 2k12 to get it cause I'm tired of the BS on this years NBA2k? I wanna get it for the 360. Also is it true that it really takes awhile to get in the action on BF3?
What's wrong with 2k12? I probably wont buy it, just curious. My night is looking busy, might have to wait on BF3 until Wednesday. Busy week too, with Halloween... work is busy. Sigh. PSN=RAZCAN.
It's a 3pt fest. That's the new cheese this year. And the online is broken. What I mean by that is the game style now suits arcade gamers. Just run around full court press and mash the steal button cause it's so easy to rip players this year. Had Lowry ripped by Rondo 10 times just in one game. Think of it as: 3pt barrage, constant steals, and stupid drives to the basket. Plus to add on top of it all... sometimes you'll get dropped/lagged out of game right in the middle of it and get a lost for all the trouble too. Oh and I didn't even get to the online association which rarely works and the MP which freezes.
Not much of a CoD killer in any sense... but from my experience with it getting it on launch? It's certainly a server killer.
A fun fun game but that doesn't matter much when you can't get into a server. When playing solo I was dropped about 15 games in a row for server connection issues between 6-10. Had trouble joining in a servers in a squad around midnight last night. Issues where one of us would get in and the other wouldn't. I hope they work out the kinks soon to make it a lot more enjoyable. Playing it on Xbox.
No this game unfortunately won't be taking down COD. I like it, but I currently feel that the console version of this game is not too much different from Bad Company 2. Yeah the player movement and gun recoil have changed (some would argue not for the better), the graphics are a little smoother, and the maps are a little better, but it’s essentially the same game in my opinion with upgrades. This is exactly what COD does every year. They make little subtle improvements and refine the formula. This certainly isn't the ground breaking substantial changes that I was told were going to happen. Not on the console version anyways. Is it just me or did there seem to be more of a destructible environment in Bad Company 2? Do I like the game? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to others? Definitely. I'm certainly looking forward to playing it more this evening. It’s a fun game. They did a great job putting it together. There were moments when I actually totally felt immersed in a battle with things all around me exploding or being blown to bits. I joked with a friend that I think Michael Bay had a hand in developing this game.
The MP is kind of screwed too......it seems 2k11 was more polished, I expect them to patch the game and fix all the problems with it though. DD
Sold 2k12 for $50 and bought battlefield 3 with it. 2k online is definitely broken but will buy back IF lockout ends. Will probably be around $30 by then
I always tell folks, you gotta wait for the patch to come for 2k before you make a judgement. It is like that every year. Can't wait to get BF3 and Skyrim in a couple weeks!!!
Why do so many games have to get patched? Do developers even test out the games anymore? I just read a Cracked article the other day on game glitches. A lot of creepy ****, but in the end it all got patched. Well, if it's so simple as giving patches, why not avoid it in the first place, and test and fix the game before it's released!?
Because it is impossible to test for stress and load when you only have 100 people and then millions start playing it on day 1. They just find more crap....than 100s do...... DD
You sold it to someone or went to a Gamestop? I went to Gameplus and they said $30 for it and Gamestop only $24...
I don't feel like it plays like Bad Company 2 at all, but I do agree with you on the other points. There don't seem to be as many destructible environments. I'm enjoying the game though.
I've never played any of the Uncharted games but I was looking at reviews and saw this got a 10.0. Is it really that good? And what kind of other games would you equate this too? Sorta looks like Red Dead Redemption like
Speaking purely from playing the first one, Uncharted is kind of like Assassins Creed except there's a lot of guns and it's not as "open." Everything's pretty much linear. It's one of the best looking games you're going to see, though.
