I enjoyed MW2 and Black Ops, but probably played about 5 minutes of single player combined. I have BF3 preordered and probably won't even touch the single player. Yea, I couldn't care less about single player.
I enjoyed MW1 and MW2 single player a lot. I was really hoping that the BF3 one would be good. IGN says it's...ok basically. I can live with that.
http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/battlefield-3 A 93% on Metacritic so far. Uncharted is a 94% by comparison. And wtf is a "single player"?
They should. But EA wants to market a AAA title, and for AAA titles, there's a checklist of SP, MP, Co-op that all those titles fulfill nowadays. Some gamers(casual) and critics would argue $60 isn't worth it for only a multiplayer game. Personally I don't agree with that at all, but such is the state of the industry. What it comes down to is, EA would rather have a rated low 90s AAA title that it can market to casuals and a broader market, than a streamlined probably 10/10 pure competitive multiplayer game. ($$$can't blame them$$$)
I play strictly single player. I have zero interest in running around a map getting killed over and over by some 14 year old kid who plays the game 20 hours a day and has 100000 kills.
Anybody up for a little live streaming on Xbox 360? Was going to post this link around 11:00 when he was playing Team Deathmatch, but went to lunch and when I got back he was no longer broadcasting. Get it while its hot! http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ellsgameplay
You're not supposed to run around the map. Camp, play strategically, etc. This isn't Call of Duty where you can just sprint side to side and do 360 no scopes.
I like games where I can just spray bullets. Like Halo. Realistic shooting games are just too stressful for me
Although, and this is why I liked what Battlefield/Dice games I've played, you can play a run-and-gun style as well. It works well for me. You just have to pick and choose when you want to hunker down, sneak up, or just go Rambo on fools. It really is conducive to various play styles. Ultimately, smart players who work together will win.
It's up and running! Played a quick game. Sound seems to be better. Can't tell much difference in the graphics (high in beta vs. ultra in retail).
Well. At least in open-field combat. Such as the beginning of metro, you can't do that without getting sniped... But yeah, in the tunnel you need to be wildly unpredictable.
