Dada's server appears to be down so unless he replies here with a status report on it being back up I guess the game is no go. Surf
There is a Fever Pitch Studios server out there. I wonder if that's Dadakota's? When I tried to add the server IP and port he gave, the server could not be found. Regardless, I joined the Fever Pitch game and was lagging around all over the place.
I had the same problem earlier surf... When I tried to add the server it said "Not Found" when I just entered the numbers and hit join it joined right up. My crappy graphics card did not work but I could see enough to know DaDakota was playing as Japan and had like 135 kills on some guy. CK
Everytime I try to join it'll let me in for awhile then boot me out. I've been able to play on other servers just not that one. os
I've had the same problem. I just played fine for a couple hours on another server, so I don't know what the deal is. Anyone have any ideas?
Can't connect to DaDa's server, and I'm just itching to bazooka the crap outta the birthday boy (or at least crash a plane into him). What gives?!?! I keep getting the ole "Could not connect to server" message. Oh, well, DaDa. Die another day...

argh! several hours later, i am now back up and running. i attempted to install the radeon and somehow disabled my audio.. i had no audio and was pulling my hair out. finally i just pulled the damn sound card out of the machine, restarted, shut down, re installed the sound card, pulled the video card out and voila, my sound is back. but no radeon card. i think there was some sort of irq conflict... i'm done. y'all have fun playin' 1942 i'm gonna pout.
Sonny and I got in a couple of hours tonite. I must say I really like this game. Normally I can't play FPS because I get motion sickness from them after about 10 minutes. However I was able to play about 3 hours tonite with no problems. I did realize my cable company needs to hurry up and get their internet problems fixed so I can get a faster connection. I got tired of everytime I drove a tank my connection started to lag . Hopefully we can get on DaDa's server tomorrow. I have also noticed that I stink at driving the planes, I tend to walk right down the middle of the road and that makes me good for at least 1 hit and run a game, I like sniping out of the guard towers and I have perfected the method of killing people by crashing a jeep into them as I bail out. rH I'm pretty sure you disable the Dell onboard video in the startup BIOS. Keep working on it the Radeon will be so much better.
That was pretty fun last night. You are definitely a sniper. I got really good with the planes/tanks last night. I have to work on my shooting, I will waste a whole clip on someone 5ft away and not kill them! It was pretty sweet when I knifed that guy, that takes skill!
Yeah definitely a fun evening! I got a good view of the knifing from the tower. I had trouble with the lag from tanks but I could tell the physics were pretty cool with them. The guy sniping me off the transport was pretty cool too. I think one of the funniest things to happen to me last nite was one of those guys that came in towards the end, Dubry or something like that. He was laying on the ground shooting at someone and I walked right up next to him and shot him with my machine gun, point blank. He never saw me The other thing I couldn't do, was figure out how to jump out of a plane before you crashed it . edit: For anyone that plays... Where do you find new weapons. i know how to find more ammo but there where sniper rifles last nite and the only way I could find them was to kill someone and take it from them. Is there a place on that map that has other weapons like the bazooka and sniper rifles and such?
Just like anything else, you have to hit "E" which ejects you, then hit "8" or "9" for the parachute - something like that. I have done it once. Just try to find a empty server or one like we played last night and just fly. edit: ohh I get it, when I crashed that one plane, ha ha! I do wish the sound was better, you can't hear people sneak up on you and sometimes the sound starts freaking out on my game
"e" to eject, and "9" to open parachute. Sometimes you have to hit the 9 a few times...it only opens as you start coming down...sometimes I try to hit it just before I hit the ground...and it works...other times...I end up road pizza...SPLAT !!! The server is up ...and it did indeed crash, I hope the final version has all these problems worked out. DaDakota
I should be available around then but I really have to go to bed a lot earlier than I did last nite . If for some reason Dada's server crashes again try that same server we went to last nite. CK
Update: Server didn't crash, one of my employees decided to take it down...Won't happen again. DaDakota
