Ok, Server is set up, it is called Fever Pitch Studios. Although you can simply go there by typing in the following IP. 216.201.182.118 :14567 Please let me know of any problems, we have been running it all day, and it is AWESOME !!! DaDakota
I tried to get on there at 9:30 and it said it couldn't find the requested server. Did you shut it after you posted the message?
Nope it is up, just tested it again. Try just selecting Internet games, and then just ADD A SERVER, and type in the IP and Port info and hit join. DaDakota
I just got it up today, no one knows about it yet. I am sure it will be occupied as time goes by......we had 15 playing at one time today. DD
good luck... we tried to do this with Counter Strike. The 1942 game is huge, like over 100 megs? Am I right? It would take forever, even with my slow @ss DSL!! I really want to play this game, but will prob have to wait for the commercial release.
I was able to join as long as I told it to join, and not just to find the server. No one was there, but I had to practice my flying and I went ahead and sunk the carrier. I'm going to try joining again tomorrow at 7pm if I can, unless I have homework. Dang school, why must it interfere with my quality game time??
This game sounds great! Like some of you, however, I need a new computer. I've got a P2 350 (aargh!) that's been upgraded as much as is worthwhile. I've been working on the wife... maybe she'll cave soon. Is there any single-player mode in the commercial version? Oh, and happy birthday, DaDakota.
Uh, nevermind...I just figured out I had downloaded just the patch and not the actual game. Old School = dumbass
Crap my work computer stinks. The vid card isn't powerful enough to run the game. I even went and took a good vid card out of a different computer to try to get it to work . I guess I will have to wait until tonite to play.
Da - I got at least three guys at work that play online, do you mind if I let them know where your server is so we can play? and umm Happy Birthday!!!
I'm ready to try playing with you fellas. I still can't get the single player EXE file to open up but I've been able to play the multiplayer version...I haven't figured out how to get that damn plane off the ground yet. os
How about reading the readme.txt that was installed along with the multiplayer demo? If you don't read that and play the game, then you are playing at a severe disadvantage. To get the plane off the ground, use the forward default key which is "w" for acceleration(I believe you use "a" and "d" for left and right movements while on the ground) and use your mouse to control direction when in the air. When you get enough speed, pull the mouse back to go up, push mouse forward to go down, push mouse left to go left, etc.. Also, when you have to bail out(which it sounds like you will need to do quite frequently ), push the "9" key to spawn your parachute or your going to hit the ground/water in pancake mode. I will try Dada's server later but I can almost count on a zero head count unless we band of brothers organize a game first. Surf
Very well, sonny. Assuming I remember, I'll try the "Birthday Boy's" server at 10:00 PM. Now, is that Central time? EST? PST?
downloaded and installed and no dice... my graphics card won't support it... The computer just beeps when I click on the icon. does anyone know how to disable the onboard video card on a dell? I have a nice radeon 7500 card i need to install... email me if ya know... thanks rH
