I believe Taco Bell had the first Value Menu at .59 .79 and .99 cents KFC has the Snacker for .99 i believe. I was born in Texas. Its 'your'
I think certain locations increased the price, but they are still 99 cents at the location I go to... Fast food places raise prices in higher income neighborhoods all the time, because they know people there will pay the extra money to not have to go to the ghetto to get a burger...
Haven't they all downsized their fries recently? I think Wendy's and MD both did. Also, some of them don't even have $1 fries (BK doesn't, I think). But for $1 menu, MD is probably still the best. But the best burger for the price is the Whopper, Jr...no ifs or buts about it. Best chicken sandwich I've tried is the hot n spicy mcchicken sandwich from MD (I've tried BK's, it blows), and I haven't tried Wendy's yet. What does KFC exactly have for $1? I didn't know they even had a $1 menu; nor did I know Taco Bell had one (their stuff is expensive as hell).
I can only do Value/Dollar menus when I'm on my way home from a gig at 3AM and my blood alcohol content is in the high teens/low 20s.
I was actually dreaming about a Wendy's dollar salad today... so fresh and cold...masticating crisp, juicy tomatoes...
The fry downsizing is a trick at McDonalds. They replaced the words on the dollar menu to McValue fries which is their new dollar fries for people who are ordering off the dollar menu. But if you actually order the medium fries, they are still a buck. Maybe it's only at the McDonalds I go to, but try it out anyways
JITB no longer has a REAL value menu. Only thing on there that's under a buck is the two tacos. Even the jumbo jack has gone up to 1.79. Well at least here in the stafford/sugarland area.
By far, Wendy's has the best selection (with real chicken) and quality stuff... I did get a dbl cheesburger from McD's this weekend, and damn, that was good...
I was raised in Texas, and in first grade they taught me the difference between your and you're so what city is fattest these days, Houston or San Antonio?
I voted Wendy's because you can actually still get some items for a buck there. Jack in the Box once had a very nice selection, but Jack has alimony to pay. If I've got more than a couple bucks in my pocket, I'm going to Whataburger. Particularly after 11 p.m.
Wendy's jr bacon cheeseburger and medium fries everytime i have that..memories of UH pop into my head
Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Small Chili, side Caesar, and a Small Coke is the best $4 meal that I've eaten since college.
See, that's why Wendy's Value Menu rules: because of the sheer variety of items. Everything from salads, to fries, to nuggets, to burgers, to chili, to taters, to chicken sandwiches, and a Frosty to top it off. They could almost do away with the rest of their menu, and I bet they'd still rake it in.
