malaysians are the worst drivers. inconsiderate. and in our spare time caught in traffic jams, we pirate dadakota's pc games. between their men and women, my opinion is men drivers are slightly better, especially around my age group.
Ironically....and this is no bull****. When I posted about "people who don't drive high miles" I had originally typed "people like Jeff and Mrs. JB" Not to be offensive, mind you....it's just that after having seen them post for quite some time, I had the impression that they stick somewhat close to the Heights. Anyway, I was about to hit "submit reply" and I stopped myself. Can this be construed as offensive? I wasn't sure....so I changed it.
I voted for women. Some men can be real dumbasses. Some of us can go overboard trying to prove our machoness on the road. The worst of the worst though are women who drive big ass SUV's. These little dorks can barely see over the steering wheel and wanna drive in the fast lane at 10 miles below the speed limit!
Not offensive because it is totally true. Other than taking a trip or driving to visit family who live outside the loop, we try to stay inside the loop as much as possible. Working from home makes that a possibility (or working close to home as we both did prior to working at home). Personally, I love that and I wouldn't trade it for anything. So, certainly no offense on that. If it's true, nothing I can say but, "Yup. You nailed it!"
Women get lower insurance rates for the following reasons: 1. They drive less aggressively than men because of their nature and because they drive with thier kid in the car. 2. They drive shorter distances usually. 3. They drive when there are less traffic (day time). On the other hand, they talk longer on the cell, which I think might push their rates higher in the future.
Come on Mrs.JB...we all know they are too busy coming up with schemes to marry rich men for their money to actually bake while in the car.
I drive more miles than my husband. Our workplaces aren't on the same end of town, and he's always made it a high priority to live close to where he works, whereas I don't mind driving if I have to. So I do. Talking about us driving too slow... well, first, from some of the threads about driving that have cropped up in the last few weeks, I hope I never run into some of you maniacs on the road. But, if you want a slow driver, you should see my husband. He drives like a little old man and takes the speed limit seriously - the posted one, not the "virtual speed limit" that everybody else obeys. When he's driving, I don't know how we ever get anywhere. Sometimes, if he was supposed to be driving on a trip but we're running behind, I'll switch with him because it will save a little time. He's usually careful, but does a couple of things I don't like (sits smack in the middle of the road when pulling out of a driveway and trying to turn left, instead of getting himself into the turn lane), and sails through red lights when he's tired. Though, to be fair, he thinks he's a better driver than me. He accepts rides from me, but holds onto a handle whenever I make a turn. (he's in his seatbelt - why does he think he's going somewhere) I guess he thinks I make turns too quickly and drive too fast. But I never hit anyone. I guess it's just one more battle of the sexes that will never be resolved...
