what weaver did in aliens at the end cant be matched by conner or any other woman.

 

Connor put out in Terminater. Ripley never spread her legs for anybody.

My vote goes to Connor (she's prettier, too).

Ripley changed the role of women in action movies forever. I vote Ripley.

 

The scene where she beats up the clinic's nurse and then hops around barefoot while holding a nightstick is one I can imitate.

Ripley in Aliens pretty much set the template for female badass, can't top her!

And, you should have included Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). She gets my vote, not only because shes big and blue, but because the real life person is way hotter than those other 2.

 

Ripley did so at the prison colony in Alien 3 to the good doctor...who was disembowled by an alien shortly thereafter. I guess noone saw Alien 3.

Hmm Don't remember that. But then again, after I watched Alien 3, I went to hypnosis therapy to have it blocked out of my memory.

I've tried to like Alien3 for various reasons but I just can't ever bring myself too....still not as bad as resurrection

 

I actually liked resurrection.

 

Really, it's been a while but I'll probably have to give it another whirl once the bluray set hits.

 

Yeah, but the tough chick has become a boring Hollywood cliche, and it was Princess Leia who started the trend, not Ripley.

 

Props to Ripley and all, but Sarah Conner was way more hardcore throughout the movie that Ripley was.

For Chrissake, it didn't even occur to Sarah to hug John after not seeing him for years, she was only checking for bullet holes.

 

Yeah but Leia took a backseat to other characters. Ripley re-defined the female action lead role. Plus, I don't know if it's become cliche so much as there hasn't been anything close to the characters Weaver and Hamilton portrayed in those films.

I'd go with Sarah Connor...she has an arsenal of weapons to handle the Queen quite easily... plus both the t100 and t1000 are much harder to kill than any alien. She took a twisting dagger through her shoulder but still wouldn't cough up John's location...I don't think Ripley ever got Alien blood on her.
