No joke! I say Def Leppard in a last second under-the-stage sexscapade. I'd love to see Motley Crue vs. Pantera in a death match.
Incubus. I don't like Live and Incubus' drummer is one of the few drummers out there that uses the RLL triplet fill that I love so much.
See the first page - once again, these bands were not my selections - they were the mystery poster's.
Wow, just went through the brackets..........not a fan of them, but it could be worse. No worse than the actual NCAA tourney. That said, I have two #11 vs #1's in the final four (provided it's A vs B and C vs D).
Bracket A: 1) Beatles 16) 8) G n R 9) 5) 12) INXS 4) Van Halen 13) 6) The Cure 11) 3) The Doors 14) 7) Grateful Dead 10) 2) Eagles 15) Bracket B: 1) 16) Cake 8) R.E.M. 9) 5) 12) Soundgarden 4) 13) Thin Lizzy 6) Nirvana 11) 3) Petty & the Heartbreakers 14) 7) RHCP 10) 2) The Who 15) Bracket C: 1) Led Zeppelin 16) 8) The Clash 9) 5) Black Sabbath 12) 4) 13) Smashing Pumpkins 6) 11) CCR (Creedence) 3) 14) Stone Temple Pilots 7) The Ramones 10) 2) 15) Foo Fighters Bracket D: 1) Pink Floyd 16) 8) Depeche Mode 9) 5) Pearl Jam 12) 4) U2 13) 6) 11) The Police 3) Metallica 14) 7) Motley Crue 10) 2) 15) Green Day
As much as I wanted other bands in the final four, I still ended up with all #1s. I have a sneaky suspicion though that my bracket is shot when it gets to later rounds.
If this is supposed to be represenative of the more popular rock genres over the past.... it seems some genres are overrepresented and others underweighted. Looks a bit thin for Southern Rock. Little Feat? Allman Brothers Band? Marshall Tucker Band? Charlie Daniels Band? etc Looks a bit heavy on Grunge. Is a bit thin on groups such as: War, Humble Pie, Foghat, Grandfunk Railroad, Canned Heat, The Kinks etc A bit heavy on whatever Depeche Mode and Bon Jovi are. Fleetwod Mac is in and Genesis isn't? You invoke a rule about no indviduals are allowed to compete........so that must probably exclude Santana.......yet DMB and Tom Petty are in?
