the closest IMO was CCR/DMB...but yeh, i had to go with the good canadian folk and IMO the slightly better band. i hope incubus is in the next bracket...

That's true, but with the **rate they're going at now** as Velvet Revolver, I think **they will be better than G & R.** That's the best CD I've heard come out in years. Scott Weiland is the man, and that band kicks ass. Worrrrrd. That'a way. I like how STP is gettin' some votes lately. Nice push, but we'll need a lot of younger people to show up to make it close. EDIT: STP is on fire! 4 in a row! Yay! Got a ways to make up, though, to catch the ZZ Top run of 50 straight, ha.
You must have heard "So Far Away" and "Sultans Of Swing" before and maybe just not known it was Dire Straits. If you haven't heard those songs, you should give them a listen.
Completely forgot about Sultans of Swing. I seriously love that song. So, I take back the horrible tag, but they still lose to VH.

STP is a really good band. Unfortunately they are going up against the home town heros. I don't get how The Cure is getting so many votes. I recently got my girlfriend a best of Cure CD and it sucked. Maybe 4 good songs on the CD.
