i don't mind people cracking on me. i was pretty specific about recognizing that this is all amatter of tastes. I just think a lot of this music sounds like crap you hear a 43 year old dirty mechanic with a doo-rag on listening to that alks about how much his kids music sucks. He's rockin out to skynyrd talking about how Franz Ferdinand, The Used, and The Hives all sound like ****e. I just disagree. Music has evolved. The GREAT ones are still great (Beatles, etc...) but the new stuff is fantastic , too.

I pretty much agree, but U2 and REM will always SUCK! (geeks have no place in rock) BTW Chance, I've come up with a good song lyric I'd like you to listen to. Give me a week, and I'll call you. (I've still got my other songs I'd like to do. I just want to have some freed up money for y'all so I can placate your time.)
Sorry Fatty - just like Pink Floyd and The Cure is not for everyone, RHCP is not for me. I find the music of RHCP annoying (and that is being nice). Yea, the Cult should have been there but I guess they were not one of A-Train's favorites compared to Chicago.

Bracket B: 1) The Rolling Stones did not write man on the moon and so they are better. 8) REM 12) Soundgarden black hole sun is a good song, and makeup is for ladies 4) KISS 6) Nirvana did not make a guest appearance in 'the postman.' 3) Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers 7) Red Hot Chili Peppers were never covered by limp bizkit 2) The Who Bracket C: 1) Led Zeppelin are kings of the junior high dance 8) The Clash 5) Black Sabbath 4) AC/DC shockingly refreshing lemon-lime 11) Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) make me tingle 3) ZZ Top 7) The Ramones have cooler t-shirts 2) Aerosmith Bracket D: 1) Pink Floyd sounds good through my car speakers 8) Depeche Mode 5) Pearl Jam 4) U2 never sang "we were out on a date in my daddy's car/we hadn't driven very far" 11) The Police 3) Metallica would have each ****ed roxanne in turn rather than telling her to stop that hooker nonsense 10) The Cars 2) Queen fat-bottomed girls on bicycles. yes.
I'm pleasantly surprised how well received Soundgarden has been on the board. I had no idea so many people knew of them. I thought I was one of the few smart ones that appreciated them, ha. I do probably have more songs by them than most, however. I can conceivably see that Cinderella team going to the Elite 8 - that would be spectacular. Speaking of Grunge, I'm surprised Pearl Jam isn't doing better. I thought they would have a real close match with U2. That one was basically a tossup for me. I see the only other double-digit seed in CCR going to the Elite 8 too (The Police won't go that far with the following Queen has on the board). Both are in my top 10-15 bands, so it's good to see. I'm shocked The Police are handling Metallica the way they are.
Bracket A: 1) The Beatles 4) Van Halen 3) The Doors 7) Grateful Dead Bracket B: 1) The Rolling Stones 12) Soundgarden 3) Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers 2) The Who Bracket C: 8) The Clash 5) Black Sabbath 11) Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) 7) The Ramones Bracket D: 1) Pink Floyd 5) Pearl Jam 11) The Police 10) The Cars
Fair enough. But I am going to make you (that's right... make you) download "knock me down" by RHCP. It was written as a tribute to their original lead guitarist, who OD'd and eventually died. Best song by them. "If you see me get me getting mighty If you see me getting high Knock me down I'm not bigger than life" Listen to it a few times. It will give you goose bumps. Also, burn "pretty little ditty". I bet you'll figure out what rap song it was sampled off of. (come my lady, come, come my lady. You're my butterfly sugar, baby)

Bracket D: 1) Pink Floyd i have no idea what a depeche mode song sounds like and pink floyd wrote dark side of the moon. i mean c'mon. 5) Pearl Jam 4) U2 NO VOTE for opposite reasons as the doors and the cure, i like both these bands too much. 3) Metallica i have to severly dock them for st.anger but they still win. i even like load and reload. does that mean none of my votes count? 2) Queen i don't know any songs by the cars , sorry cars fans.
