    RM95, R2K, JPM:

Hootie's style sounded different to Pearl Jam, but make no mistake. "Cracked Rear View" had Darius' voice sounding very similarto Eddie's.

Go back and listen to "Hold my hand", and then listen to "Daughter" or any other Pearl Jam song.

    You don't notice the similarities?

If you don't, you're not paying attention. I covered both these band's songs in college. Just about the same tweaking of my voice produced both of their sounds.

If you don't believe me, I'll prove it to y'all next time we're out!:p

    Hey Manny:

on your updates, could you post standings in order of seedings for those of us who like to see how the "underdogs' are doing??

    ie

Fleetwood Mac 19, The Police 41,
    Metallica 43, Blondie 16
Motley Crue 25, The Cars 33,
    Queen 47, Green Day 13

And Batman -- you're dead on about the Band, but there were just too many from that 'era' that they got knocked out by my own affirmative action for 80's bands bias.

i can't stand any of that crap. the band, skynyrd, all of that 70's rock sucked imo. I admittedly however love Neil Diamond, Erasure, Broadway Musicals, and 80's one hit wonders so my opinion may be overvalued.

If you are not gonna count the way the man votes then what is the point? This is overlooking your wacked up way of what "team" you see as the lower "seed" as in this matchup he clearly stated what he wanted. I thought you were familiar with the NCAA tourney :p

I am but I also defined what I meant by "lower" and since I am running this thing, Heath, I am somewhat a dictator, er like the OOTP commish. Not my fault if he didn't go back and read how I defined "lower" in the thread.:p

But that is what I said. Even if your out of whack works for all the rest - in this lineup he clearly voted for Goo and not a lower seed.

Well, he made contradictory statements so he forced me to choose - and I chose the one that said all lower seeds plus Nirvana. :D  :)

A lot of people don't know that they're Irish. I know I couldn't tell just from listening to their songs. Another one of their songs that people know but don't know is them is Whiskey in the Jar. Metallica's cover is great.

The only agonizing choices for me were Beach Boys and Nirvana and RHCP and Deep Purple.
