It depends what type of situation they are in.

If the team they play on is built like the Sixers, or Orlando, or even San Antonio where they would be the one and only star for their team, I think LeBron would take that team farther than Yao could. Just because I don’t think Yao has the stamina to carry a team by himself for +82 games a season. I think his production would be greatly diminished from the exhaustion. Plus, the double teams Yao would face would be even worse than they are now.

On a team like the Lakers, or Minnesota where there are multiple stars on the team, I think Yao would take that team farther than LeBron could. Yao would be able to pace himself better and pick and choose moments when the team needs him to be the dominant big man he can be. LeBron would do well also, but as history has shown, the best chance of winning a championship is with a dominant big man.

Wow some people just don't read their opponents' posts before jumping into an arguement.

My personal opinion is that: Both Yao and LeBron are POTENTIALLY going to be great players. However, since we are NOT Misses Cleos, we'll let the future decide.

At this moment, LeBron looks a lot more impressive because he dunks a lot. At this moment, LeBron has a lot of space to grow because their teammates don't mind him taking 20+ per night.

At this moment, Yao looks impressive because of his finess. At this moment, Yao has less space than LeBron to grow because our guards have not bought into JVG's system. At this moment, Yao is more EFFICIENT.

At this moment, I choose Yao

What is your point? I think that we are talking about picking one of them to build the team around him? If this is case, last year I will pick Lebron because of less risky for him and more questions for Yao. This year (now), of course, the pick is Yao. Yao's impeact on the game is not simply scoring. Just ask Shaq (MVP) who he want to pick if he is the owner.

    eidt,
My point does not fit the title, but this title will result in no conclusion because the basketball game is a team game, you need also depend on your teammates.

The phrase "come around" means that you stated that you understood that LeBron (and Yao) have the potential to be great one day. Do you Understand? So, before you start calling people stupid you better figure out what certain and phrases mean!

The the only debate is HOW good they will become. Those opinions differer.

holy crap, now i know why you don't understand what other people say.

    let me teach you English.

come around: To change one's opinion or position. for an example. You'll come around after you hear the whole story.

based on what you said, i didn't think lebron is good and eventually i changed my mind to think he is good. plz, find all of my posts and tell me where i have said lebron is not good.

You came around after you heard my story. Meaning, you understood MY position regarding LeBron.

    Or do you not still?

P.S. And please don't attempt to teach me English...your writing style is bad enough.
