    We now even control our own destiny for #2 pick. Tied in lots column with royals with 1 more against them. 3 behind Cleveland with 3 against them. Could be a very big final series of the season.

    If the Astros go 13-12 (88-74) the rest of the way:

    1) The Mariners must go 19-6.

    2) If the Astros win 2 of 3 vs them, the Mariners must go 18-4 in the other 22 games.

    If the Mariners go 15-4 leading up to the series between them, the Astros will just need to go 10-9 to still have the division lead and will clinch the division w/ a sweep.

    It's looking more and more like the Mariners are broken, and I love it.

    I think once Tucker returns, the Astros will have a 12-5 stretch at some point, and finish with 91 wins.

    Seattle won't be within 8 games by season's end.

    25 games remaining --16-9
    Final record -- 91-71

    Mariners would have to finish 20-5 to reach 89 wins.

    I doubt they will be within 8 games by season's end.

    90+ wins by the Astros gives a legit chance at a 1st round bye.

    JV was not JV and the ump was terrible. A Houston loss. Seattle is somehow worse, losing to the A's.
