A lot of weight from his other leg comes down on his knee right when his injured knee hits the dirt. It didn't look as awkward as it actually was.
If you look closely I think you can see his knee awkwardly drag on the ground after impact. I think that might be the issue.
He plopped and bounced off his leg/knee just like how JLin used to fall when he got bumped in the air. Just fall flat like a sack of potatoes without sliding to catch his fall.
Grit, resiliency, belief Congratulations to our Astros Let’s rest up, do irreparable damage in the playoffs And win whole thing
Didn't want to comment during the season (for fear of jinx) but I never doubted the team. Championship DNA, lineup top to bottom of seasoned professional winners. I scratched my head at the trade time but I knew even if what we acquired wasn't impactful we would win the division. The key to continued dominance is to keep bringing on good quality younger talent, immerse them in the winning culture, rinse, repeat. I'm not saying this is going to go on forever, but it's how all good organizations are maintained. Go 'Stros!
Here are the postseason wins recorded by an AL West Team Astros 62 Athletics 61 Rangers 34 Angels 27 Royals 18 Mariners 17 Twins 16 White Sox 3 Brewers 0
I'm not going to lie and say I never doubted them this year, but in the back of my head I feel like I just knew at some point we would turn it around. Too much talent on this team to play badly for the full 162. I know this golden age of Astros baseball isn't going to last forever, but i think we have a few more good years to enjoy. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I feel like our biggest obstacle this year is the inability to win home playoff games. If we can figure that out...it's on.
Doing this post made me feel old. The Royals haven't been in the AL West since 1994. 30 years. Ugh. Granted, the Mariners still haven't passed them in postseason wins in those 30 years.
I never doubted the Astros had the best team in the AL West. I just wasn't sure if the Mariners would let them back in. I did not expect this from a Seattle Mariner site though earlier in the year: For the Mariners to not just fritter away a lead, but to set the record for how fast a team has ever frittered away a 10-game division lead? That’s not just less fun, it’s sports sadism. The Seattle Mariners are simply the kind of franchise that is constantly setting records in the field of frittering. https://www.lookoutlanding.com/2024...s-4-3-and-lose-al-west-for-23rd-year-in-a-row
It's a great era, and the Astros had enough talent for sure to win the AL West this year (before they officially clinched). I am concerned about them this year as this is the weakest team out of the 7-8 year run. But it's your city, it's your house, it's the rally house!
