The only difference is Battier and Gay. Gay plays horrible difference and shoots more bad shots (with less efficiency) than Martin and Brooks. That would be a disaster.
They dont complement each other well. Thats why Brooks had to go out for us to get our first win. It showed that some of the backups complement some of the starters better with what we have built. Some rotations complement and some dont mix right.
Thats an opinion not stated with any facts because we dont have the roster to ever show who is right. We could never prove you are wrong but also never prove that I am right. Just like very move the Rockets dont do. Cant prove what i say is wrong because they didnt do it. Can prove that they aren't necessarily right because we started out 1-5.
Certainly, he misspoke. Otherwise, he may be under the impression that John Ameachi and Christian Laettner have joined the team.
I think you're interpreting your philosophy wrong. Brooks went out for Ish, who is NOT a stats robot, and then we won. You need to mix stat robots with stat humans. Yao (robot) Scola (human) Battier (human) Martin (robot) Ish (human) replaced Brooks (robot) When you have more robots than humans, you don't win. Yet you want to add Gay (robot) and have 4 robots with one human (Scola). That'll jus guarantee more losses. The lesson is to always have more humans than robots.
LOL! Now there I agree. Only because of the roster we have though. Lets say Brooks comes back? Then you have Robot over human again. What it you inserted Rudy gay who is the better robot than Brooks in the lineup? And add Ish instead? Yao Scola Gay Martin Ish/Lowry Thats a better team than the one with Brooks who will be starting again.
So humans = hard and robots = soft? A surprise to me since robots are usually made of steel and metal and humans are made of skin and flesh..
You never seen the movie Descent? The monsters in the cave eating young women traveling through the dark in hiking gear? One of them was a Asian chick who messed around with the blonds husband. Then they all get killed and the blond chick finds her way out. Part 2 then starts with her going back to the cave. Good late night movies to waist time.
That would be interesting because you would have a 3:2 ratio of robots to humans. HOWEVER, the backcourt would be evenly split 1:1 robot to human. Arguably, it's more important to have 1 robot and 1 human in the backcourt. It's ok to have more robots in the frontcourt. When the Rockets had Brooks and Battier in the backcourt, they were VERY successful (pushed the Lakers to 7 games). I have said a big problem is having Martin and Brooks play together (2 robots). I'm sure Morey knows all this, of course.
If Gay is seen as better than Battier because of his stats, but Gay's stats are "meaningless" because he doesn't close out/win, then wouldn't Battier be "better" than Gay on certain teams, if he's expected to contribute to winning?
Yes, it depends on the makeup of the team. With AB and Martin in the backcourt, Battier disappears. With Ish in there, Battier explodes.
I actually suspect Kyle Lowry is half human and half robot. It will be interesting to see what he is in the next few games.
