i dont think anyone in this thread really bashed battier.... just making comments about his slump. it's the anal retentive "let's never criticize the rockets because that's blasphemy" group that's being antsy in here.

Compulsive Liar- defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (see, Pathological Liar), rather they simply lie out of habit - an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship (see, how to cope with a compulsive liar).

lol, you consider that b****ing? youre a bit anal. and i say that in the nicest way possible.

i didnt know saying battier's having a bad shooting night so far constitutes as b****ing. i guess everything i say that isnt "rockets are awesome" would mean im b****ing. good to finally know the rules of bbs

Battier and Artest are slumping at the worst possible time ... before (and hopefully not) into the playoffs.

I wasn't really refering to the b****ing, but the lying. It just happened to be in the same line.

If you could hit a few shots every now and then Batman, I think we are ready for the playoffs!

    BUMPED FOR TRUTH

Adelman and the whole team should be ashamed of themselves for this performance here tonight.

Playing a declining Piston's team, without it's three best players, on the 2nd half of a back to back and you are playing down to their level and letting them hang around.

    Shameful. Absolutely shameful.

This team has a long, looooooong way to go before they "get it".

We won't do anything in the playoffs is Battier doesn't get off the floor. He's been on the ground more often than not in the last 7 or so gametime minutes...

One shot tonite in 44+ minutes of play. Wow!

Shane needs to take a little walk on the wild side.

Uhh...he's right. He's not calling anyone out, and I bet he'd be the first to tell you he's been in a shooting slump. But him not shooting great doesn't change the fact that we crumble when Yao is fronted, we don't ahve set plays down the stretch, and Artest everyone now and then goes a little crazy. All of those things are far bigger issues than Battier being in a slump when he's like the 8th option offensively on this team.

You guys are funny. You cry about Battier's poor shooting percentage. And then you cry about him not taking enough shots.

Battier is clearly not the same shooter this season. For some reasons, he cannot get off the slump after his offseason surgery. And he knows it. That's why he doesn't shoot that much and try to help in other aspects.

That's true, another intangible, he knows he can't shoot so he doesn't  . In the NBA, guys get cut when they can't make their shots. Shane needs to up his game offensively as much as anybody if we are to make some noise in the playoffs. Teams have it figured out, cheat off of Battier to help on Yao because he's not a threat.

I don't have a problem with Shane only taking one shot last night. I can't really remember him passing up any wide open shots.

Yep... Even if we had Lebron or Kobe, people here would still bash them. No one is safe from the angry bbs mob...
