True, but it would be just as unrealistic imo to believe that he won't help with some of the problems. Bottom line Battier is one of the reasons I like the Rockets so much. He and Hayes are real professionals.
Yeah boy! As Van Gundy said it, with Shane, the Rox can raise their level of defense to match the Celtics. After watching the first 15 games with Artest, I think Shane is actually a better perimeter defender. He's better at rotating, blocks more shots, challenges perimeter shots more consistently and effectively getting fighting through screens and keeps his man out of the lane by taking charges. Ron, though is a better defender in the post, playing the passing lanes and defensive rebounding. Ultimate Rox defensive lineup: 1 - Rafer 2 - Shane 3 - Artest 4 - Hayes 5 - Deke Damn, we need a shotblocker in the middle! Sign Deke!
Funny how a 10-5 team that has gone through what is unarguably the hardest schedule to start the season is having major problems... Maybe that's a testament to how good we can be?
It's great to hear Shane is back. However, I'm a little skeptical about his ankle, I hope he is not rushing it. We will definitely need his leadership on defense during the second half of the season. But if he says he's ready to go, then no reason to stop him now.
YESSSSSSS!! I've been waiting to see Ron and Shane on the court together for a long time. It's good to have Shane back.
So with Shane Battier coming back and if TMAC doesn't sit out, who gets put on the bench in street clothes? Obviously it has to be one of the following: Dorsey, Head, Wafer. I think it should be Luther Head. Thoughts? Then what happens if SF3 gets declared healthy or Morey decides its time to bring Deke back? Probably Dorsey?
On second thought he better be 100%. Oh and he's got to utilize his offensive game a little more. The guy has some skills.
It's always never been the entire roster on the court at the same time huh....when one come back ....another put on injure list...that's the way it is ever since Tmac join this team.
