Because those hook shots gets stuffed back into his face alot and he compensates that by rushing the shot in order to get it over the routinely taller defender, and rushed shots usually means missed shots.

Defense Defense Defense.
umm that he is gonna play his best? cmon now the same thing peeps are saying about ron being on his best behavior and playing harder
Finally we get to see batman(shane) and the Joker(ron) work together. Put a better balance to our team. the yin and yang
Shane Battier ready to make season debut Even though I saw there is already a Battier thread about him coming back, I thought this would be even better to read. http://my.nba.com/forum.jspa?forumID=5700013641
The only thing that bothers me is that his ankle really isn't feeling too great. I just hope he isn't rushing back. We can't afford to lose him in March or April.
Glad to see it. No more Mario Chalmers being wide open for 3-pointers all night. Time for some clamp down defense of Ron and Shane in a tight game.
With Battier back, I would like to see Tracy's minutes decline to the mid to upper 20s. Let him do that for a month and see how he is feeling. If he isnt getting better, sit him for a month. If he feels like he is improving, start increasing then. Maybe only have him play in the 2nd half...
