People don't really realize how good Grant Hill could have been...The last season before his ankle exploded (99-00), he averaged 25.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.4 steals. Those are MVP-type numbers. At a quick, slick shooting 6 foot 8, he was a tough cover for anyone. Obviously he's nowhere near that level now, but at 37 years old and after a half dozen ankle surgeries, it's absolutely amazing he still performs as well as he does.
Dunleavy is overrated too,by some fans eg CH IMO. He is not anywhere near Yao's class. Note I'm not mentioning McGrady because of obvious reasons. I have no objection as to who Battier likes or not,but I doubt if very many NBA players would rate Dunleavy Jr very highly.
yae grant hill is a class act, people don't realize all that he has done and how great he could've been, but in the end of the day, people who have had surgeries realize the pain and turmoil you go through surgery and most of all the rehab, and he had his big contract and he could've slept it off and had insurance pay and just relax bc its guaranteed, but he kept on taking the surguries , kept trying to come back and honor his time there and for the love of the game, he became and all star his last year with the magic post 30 years old after several surguries just on bball smarts and awareness, now hes playing for much less money in phx and still just out there outsmarting everyone, its a pleasure to watch him
Grant Hill looks like he hasn't aged one bit. Especially with his new old skool fade he used to rock in the 90's.
