Why wait when we need him now? Although we did win 22 in a row last year (which Deke was a big part of) we still aren't the Astros of '05 and we would probably be better this year (with the additions & with less injuries) if we find a way to at least break even during the hardest part of our schedule. I understand Les' desire to save money, but not this year. Not with this team! Not with the best team on paper the Rockets have ever had - this is not the time to save. This opportunity may not come again for another 10-20 years. If... no better, WHEN the Rockets win their 3rd Championship Les will RAKE it in. At least with Falk we have a chance (with Deke); unlike if Boras was his agent.
yah what's the deal with that? we obviously can afford to dump head, he doesn't play much, what's his contract like 1.3 mil or something? i doubt we'll pick up mutombo for a while if we do, but i hope we do cause i love that guy i want him to play until he's 100 haha
They are two great team leaders and the team just seems like its losing focus right now. I feel like they truly are the heart and soul of this team, I don't know, but we can sure use them at the moment.
we definitley need both of them. for sure. we got rid of some players, but really should have signed Deke. he has been the leader in the locker room, on the bench, and is very productive when playing. battier, as stated, is very smart. he is the heart and soul of the defense, no way roy makes that shot with battier's hand in his face. we are without 2 key components, therefore we are sucking **** now.

You guys are severely overestimating the impact of battier because you are underestimating the negative impact of Yao and TMAC's poor play.
