True. He's had a great run here if so. Definitely a favorite of mine. Happy that Chase will get more burn in the meantime. Would like it if Andersen got in a little time as well.
morey is really high on Trevor I highly doubt he will trade Trevor this summer. I doubt they trade battier either. I see chase being expendable now that his stock is pretty high. If we do get rid of chase we better bring in ginobili
Hopefully. He's worse than Juwon Howard/Stromile Swift now. I can't believe we're paying $7.3 million for a 39% and declining rapidly shooter. I wonder how bad he has to be to get the V-span treatment even if the Rockets can't dump him as an expiring. Maybe 37%? Or 35%?
Should have sold hiim last offseason when the "no stats allstar" stuff was big and his value was relatively high. Now he has started to break down and michael lewis is doing a book tour on something else.
This is something i've thought about. As much as we all like landry, the team included, he seems to be stuck as a 18ppg 8 reb guy. Yes, if you use his projected stats per 36 mins they'll balloon, but in reality he never increased his production signficantly when he played big minutes. Playing 10 mins more a game in Sac now he's only grabbing about one more board and scorign one more point. so my point is, i think the rockets protect certain players. They make them seem like they'd be more productive or have a bigger impact if given more opportunities, but they have data that says otherwise. By protecting these guys by limiting minues and putting them in ideal situations only, they increase their stock/potential until they eventually find a taker/deal. I believe that's what happened with Landry and what they attempted with Dorsey, but failed. It's too early for me to think they're doing this with budinger for sure as well, but its a possibility. If you look at their players, they excel at their efficiency or influence one end of the court, at the very least. On offense it's scola, brooks, yao, martin and lowry. On D it's battier, ariza, chuck, and yao. Bud is definitely not on the defensive list, and although he can score, I think their data may show most of his points are assisted on. Yes, his shooting ability and athletic ability are the end points of these assists, but that may label him as replaceable eventually. I think those who fall outside of these lists are more replaceable to Morey/Adelman. Hill could crack the list. I dont expect him to ever excel on either end, but he may be solid enough on both ends to stick, since that's pretty unique. Too early to tell.
It is sad, but that could be very true. Shane is likely included in any big trade during this off season. Hate to see him to go, but logically, he is one who could be a goner.
I agree on everything you said besides the part on Hill. I truly believe Hill is going to be a monster in this league. Just seeing him around the glass he has that "killer instinct" ability. He has a good shooting stroke for a rookie big man. Give him two summers and I think we will blossom into an all-star.
My head almost explodes every time i hear a player is breaking down after an injury....this was an accident. It could happen to any one of our players. It's also not an injury that is going to break anyone down. It heals fairly well and easily.
The man has an injury, he is not dead. He'll be fine. Might Shane be traded? He well might be. Whether he is a Rock or elsewhere next season he will be an asset to the team on and off the court. SB's minutes will go towards development and/or to JJ (enhancing his trade value? Making the trade of someone else easier???), and at least that's not so bad.
I am glad to see Bud get more PT, so he can practice against real defense - not that stinky tmac "defense" he played against yesterday
