You have to give it up for Battier. He's responded to the challenge, and playing less than 100%. And not going back into lockerrooms to get re-taped
Before people get on my grill, I'm not hating on Mac by the reference, but standing up for my boy Battier. Reconize him for who he is. HIgh heart/low talent>Low heart/High talent. Yes, Melo is a good example of that and his team is getting its' ass swept as a result.
No way, no way, Scola and Battier aren't even in the same league when it comes to heart. I hope if i get a heart attack Battier would gimme his, cause it's awesome.
did any of you do this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracy_Mcgrady better go quick before its deleted ima print screen
It's quite obvious, to me atleast. Just a simple thing like body language can indicate it. I can't even begin to count the number of times TMac is laughing and smiling down double digits in the fourth quarter. It seems that when the team does good and wins, he takes credit. When we lose, TMac throws the team under the bus. There is a reason Carl Landry came back to play the second half with a punched out tooth in game 3. With Scola, I am so impressed by his lack of ability to quit, ie- TMac would foul just to leave the game and sit on the bench when down 10 late in the fourth (game 1, 2?). Scola will do just about anything in attempt to stay on the court. Rafer? Think just this- if TMac had screwed up both his left AND right hamstrings within a week of eachother, how many excuses, missed practices, and missed games would we hear? How many sob stories? I am not bashing TMac, think he still has a lot left if given a secondary role on a talented team. I rarely see him display heart during games, unless he is personally offended, and even then for only a few minutes.
You are a friggn joke. The guy is hurt and everyone doubts him. I can't wait till he gets that first ring. HE WILL DO IT IN A ROCKETS UNI with Yao, and a more talented future team. I LOVE TMAC
lol as much as i dont like him this is wrong. http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/7332/r****dgd8.th.jpg
Look, this isn't Tmac bashing, it's just a comment on Bat. Bat isn't the one who take many shots, and he doesn't usually take 3 outside of the flow of offense. But he showed, twice, that he's willing to take a shot from however far from the basket, within the flow or not, in the absolute demanding time. He just refuses to lose without a fight, without even try, without taking our fair share of chances. That's HEART. Yes, the others may work hard, or harder. But I believe Battier has the biggest heart.
i don't remember T-mac ever hogging the glory. always is a team player. as for throwing his team under the bus, i think it's more of him trying to call out his teammates so they can perform better. isn't that part of being a leader? you realize how many injuries T-mac is playing with? you really think t-mac fouls to get out of the game? wow you know that it is up to the coach who plays and who sits? and for someone with so much heart, Scola sure does flop a lot...that's pretty weak. lol, you mean the same practices and games that Rafer missed? i didn't see Rafer out there when he was hurt. i thought T-mac should have attempted more shots in the 4th also, but he almost got a triple double, again. he's the last person worthy of blame for this loss. frankly, i'm getting tired of Scola's act. he's been a fouling/turnover/flopping machine. and he's not getting the calls when he flops either.
it's about Battier not T-mac right? Thou we lose, i dont think T-mac's deserved to be blamed like this. It's just unfair to say that he didn't play with his heart. Maybe none of us can understand his feeling when he lose, as a leader.
Did you notice how the Rockets went SCORELESS when McGrady sat in the fourth. There's more to the game than taking shots.
No. This team has overachieved since Yao went down. Even in a loss I find myself admiring and respecting their effort. On the other side of the spectrum you have the Denver Nuggets where even the coach has no heart.
