Because I am a winner despite being a jerk. Jerks get things done in this world and go home with the prom queen. Nice guys are losers who go home with some lotion and tissues. We need more Jerks on defense on the Texans and more Jerks like Kobe, Stephen Jackson, and Amare Stoudemire on our team to win instead of softies like Yao and Tmac. Thats just the truth. We need to deal with it in orderto be winners and get people who win in here and not worry about nice guys. That nice guy attitude has NEVER won a Championship in our city. Heck Hakeem was no nice guy on the court. He used to pop people in the face and fight. Vernon Maxwell? Mario Elie? Otis Thorpe? Any of them punks or nice guys? Maybe good guys. But can be jerks on the court and winnners. They are not soft. Battier is a little tougher than Tmac and Yao and that iosnt saying much. Our toughest guys are Brooks, Scola, and Landry.

The Artest acquisition made sense on many fronts, which have been well covered on the BBS, but the most important was that Artest was in a contract year and we know how that paid off for him. Alston is gone and we are starting the season w/o the old #1, who is now #3, who, by the way, is in a contract year.

What has he actually won at the professional level that leads you to make such a blanket statement? If anything, he's a proven loser. How many games did his Memphis Grizzlies win in the playoffs?

    You're delusional.

No to the trade, but if we get him as a cheap free agent good (when he becomes one).

According to your logic, any scrub that has won a ring is better than Mitch Richmond. If you're talking about accomplishments in the playoffs, then why don't you claim that Gasol sucks as well? I don't remember him winning a series in the post season with the Grizzlies either.

Richmond and Gasol have rings, Battier doesn't. But besides that, tell me, is Battier better than Rudy Gay and Kevin Durant?

I would seriously think about changing allegiance if that a-hold Stephen Jackson ever became a Rocket. Especially if we traded a guy like Battier for him.

HELL NO to this stupid trade.

    Warriors suspend Stephen Jackson

The Golden State Warriors have suspended guard/forward Stephen Jackson for two games due to conduct detrimental to the team during last night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the team announced today. Jackson will serve the suspension for the team’s next two games – tonight against the Phoenix Suns at Indian Wells and Monday, October 12, against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.

You have no idea what is going on "in house" with that team. The rumor is that Coaches/Players/Mangement are not getting along in the slightest, and something big is about to go down...

Cancer=You make teams worse. Stephen Jackson makes every team that he has been on better...

Hmmmm this is interesting. It is a business soooo idk. We have Ariza already who is an upcoming defensive player. This is 2 years straight now with Battier getting an injury that has kept him out. Last year was his foot now its his hamstring. Let alone he is a year older and losing a step. I would say trade him. But for Stephen Jackson??? How many ex Pacer players does this board want. They wanted J.O for McGrady. We had Artest. Now Jackson???

Jackson and Monta Ellis have been using spoons to slowly dig a tunnel in their dorm room and as soon as it's finished, they're going to make a run for it!

Intentionally fouling yourself out of game makes your team worse.

Who would take a chance on SJax? If Isaiah were still in charge in NY, I could see a sign & trade with David Lee for him. As things stand, though, only Memphis makes reckless moves and they're probably done dealing until they see what AI can give them.

IMO, SJax's contract = Kenny Thomas, ie GS are stuck with him.

Doesn't fouling yourself out on purpose is the same as trying to your team into the penalty for free throws.

More Points for Oppnent=Makes Team Worse.
