Best of luck to you Batman. I hope the surgery goes well (as it should). My thoughts: If they were that short with you, you're better off getting the surgery done over here. If they're that short with you in the ER (i.e. not even wanting to consult with you for surgery), imagine how bad they would have been in the actual operating room. You're better off coming back here, and seeing a doctor of your choice. One of high reputation. Questions: If you don't mind, I'm wondering what the extent of the fracture is? Was it both your tibia and fibula? Did they call it Bimalleolar or Trimalleolar or either? Any chance they catch the SOB that did this to you, especially now that you're out of the country? What was your hospital experience like (seems to have not been very pleasant)? Sorry for sounding like I'm giving you a survey. Feel free to ignore my questions...that's just my nosy/curious self. All in all, I wish you the best of luck. Very sorry to hear this happened to you, and I hope for a quick recovery!
That sucks and must have been a traumatizing event, especially when you get injured (I was fortunate enough not to get any injuries in my first auto accident).

Man thats nuts....I remember reading his thread about amsterdam and was so jealous he was going there. I hope our embassy would help you out, like people have pointed out. Hope everything works out and you get better....The coffee shops could help ease the pain for a while.

Wow, get well soon! Screw Amsterdam. I can't imagine how much and discomfort that would be, especially having to fly internationally with your injuries. My prayers are with you and hpe you recover quickly.
