    Ha ha

    Batman- Let her go.

Joker- Ooh, very poor choice of words. (drops Rachel out a window and laughs)

July 18 can't get here fast enough.

I was reading the original thread with the story that broke Ledgers casting and I'm curious if we've seen enough for some people to affirm or change their thoughts on the casting.

I looked it up because I was trying to see what my initial reaction was to his casting. The only thing I remember is that I was concerned with all the Brokeback Joker type jokes that did happen, but they died down when pics and trailers started coming out.

Wow, a lot of people didn't like the choice of Ledger for the Joker role. He wasn't my first pick, I thought Hugo Weaving would have been a good choice.

After the trailers and clips, looks like Nolan picked the perfect Joker.

it's just sad you know there's no chance of him reprising his role. going to be a sick movie.

i'm worried that i'm getting too hyped up and am going to be let down. friggin' july 18th opening after they practically started marketing last year. way too much time to make me wait. ledger's joker performance better come off as good as it has looked in the previews. it seems perfect.

I don't see Batman with an emo haircut strutting down the street... or bat nipples... hopefully.

bah, i knew i shouldve checked this thread earlier, I checked the website just now at the Edwards Marquee location, midnight showing of the IMAX screening is sold out already, they have a *gasp* 3am showing, but I think I'll just watch a regular showing at midnight and watch it again at Imax the following Sunday :)

Possible first legit review was sent into AICN:

There was a screening in Burbank yesterday according to some guy at the Superherohype forums. That may have been where the reviewer saw it. There will be a press screening later this week as well, possibly tomorrow.

Cool article from WIRED magazine about how Chris Nolan tries to use as little CGI as possible and talks about the IMAX filming they did for some scenes.

The debate at my house now is whether we take our 8 year old son to see it. :D

    I vote FOR it.

As the ever eccentric overindulging uncle I'm taking a battalion of chalupas with me. Chief among them being my 9 year old niece, my 6 year old nephew, & my 4 year old niece.

my wife isn't sure...if you knew my 8 year old you'd know there wouldn't be a problem with it. i've been going to the, "but he's seen Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" card.

These reviews give away too much, but I couldn't help skimming through them. Can't believe all of this hype and it's still 3 weeks away!

My sister let's me and only me take them to certain movies. I'm a bit of a film snob/enthusiast so we chat about the film over some cake. I don't believe in dumbing things down for children so the discussion is typical of the kind I have with friends. The kids respond well.

I find that taking them during the early afternoon avoids nightmares at bedtime. This theory worked during our trip to see Pan's Labrynth.

I was thinking to see if any interested setting up a little CF Imax gathering for this movie. I'm going to the one off I-10 and the loop with my friends on opening night. This movie will rock especially after watching that 7 minute preview in I am Legend. I went to see that movie just for the preview and man was it awesome. Ledger is the perfect Joker, so many subtleties in his character which he portrays with absolute genius. Bale was already topnotch now Eckhart plays Two-Face like an added bonus. Shaping up to be a legendary picture in the making.

Actually I have to give these reviews props for not giving away too much. At least no more than the trailers and TV spots have revealed.
