No the refs were giving the other team touch fouls and everything you could want to imagine...

I mean I'm used to playing against zones...we played man at 1st then zone...plain and simple we just watched them shoot 3's...not even a hand in their face but yeah the D is going to tighten up vs the other teams...Basically the way to sum it up was the team didn't think the opponents were worth the time..but once I'm playing more i'll make sure we blow out the teams we're supposed to...I stayed 2nite and watched every team play...

im just saying you dont have to tighten up your D that much...there is alot of outside shooting here from what ive seen in 2 season at this ymca. d league is almost all outside play but c league actually is alot more versatile. still, that being said, from what i remember, the 3 ball is still shot too much when they have the big guys down low.

Nah we let this team score like 50 on us..they shouldn't have had 30 against us...against with better comp our D will step up...

    Congratulations on your win.

Sounds like the team you played will be the punching bag in this league. Glad to hear the rest of the competition is up to par though. I hope you see now that we weren't insulting you by saying it would be really tough.

EDIT: Actually, I just counted 11 teams. There are 3 on the schedule for this coming Monday (the 19th) that weren't on it for the 12th.

Yeah, there were 9 before we joined. Each team still would have had a bye week though, since only 8 teams can play per week anyway (4 games per monday, 2 teams per game). There would have always been an odd team out every week. Now there will be 2 odd teams out per week.

So I think you already would have had a bye, but now you'll have 2. That's how it was in D League with 10 teams.

On another note, the other teams out there looked pretty good huh? I really didn't want you to think that we were insulting you by saying the competition would be rough.

Ohh don't get me wrong I'm not blaming yall or anything like that...if it were up to me I'd say go w/ 5 games per day...play at 11...haha

Yes the other teams were solid....I was a bit surprised that those teams were in the C league...they struck me as B league teams...But then again had someone just seen our team for the 1st time this past Monday we'd probably be considered a C league team...

I think the story goes that B League got too full and teams started spilling over into C League, so the talent is pretty comparable between those two leagues.

Yeah I just noticed myself last night that there were 11 teams...I wonder how many games will get to play total and how many weeks will it take...So Im guessing 12 is the maximum per league huh....

Just in case you didn't see it in our team's thread, the YMCA has cancelled all games tonight.
