I will be in San Antonio on monday, so count me out for game 1.

saturday is my friend's birthday, and i am going to take her out. i don't know how long this will take. i wish i could do this on Friday during her actual birthday.

im starting to hate her. but i am incapable of hating. damnit.

    Me neither.

Left knee has been swollen ever since Monday night so I'm rehabbing it to hopefully be ready for the game Monday. I don't think it's anything serious, just overworked but I pray I didn't tear any cartlidge.

Speaking of Monday, what time is the game and where is it at (directions, address)?

I don't think I'll be able to make an extra practice, gonna be out of town this weekend. I've been getting some run in at the 24 though, so I'll be ready to go come Monday.

i'm sick now. :( throw feels awful and coughing up the greenish, yellowish, brownish stuff. so, extra practice will be out of the question.

monday's game... i'll be there regardless.

I can make it any day of this weekend. I think some of us even if not all can make it for Sunday so let's do that. Sound good? Email me or call me if that is cool with you.

It's TBA right now, which means at the earliest it's going to start on next monday, aug 1st I think. The guy who is in charge of the league said he's still waiting to hear back from a few facilities, but not to worry because he said he has plenty of teams.

So at this point I'm thinking the games may be played at other locations aside from Lee H.S.

I talked to Biggie and he seemed to be pretty busy, so I'll post what he told me.

He said that he called YMCA and was told they don't have schedules yet and the directors are off for the weekend. They suggested that we show up for 7:00, which is the time the first game is to be played, and be ready to play at any time that night. Biggie said he would call again on Monday morning to see if they can narrow down a time for us.

That's pretty much what I said :). And yes we are playing at the YMCA league at the Post Oak location. I'll keep you guys updated as soon as I find out anything but just plan on being there at 7pm or even 6:30. Who knows what will happen. Best to be prepared.

    HaHa way to go me
Damn and I was looking forward to playing yall.

Go figure, the thread started out w/ club monkey and I read nothing any different, so I assumed.
I just finished up a ymca league and was less than impressed.

Is there any reason yall r doing the ymca as opposed to club monkey, as far as I know the cost is the same.

YMCA is cheaper but club monkey couldn't come up with a location. This being our first time I didn't want to be left in limbo. I guess we can try clubmonkey when they finally find a location to play at, but when I last spoke to the clubmonkey representative, they didn't sound too sure they would be able to find a facility.

Yeah ur still correct, the guy said he was waiting to hear back from a few facilities.
How much is the YMCA, I just paid $450 in a ymca league and thats what club monkey costs.

I'll give it a few more weeks, if nothing happens then I'll ask for my money back and look into the stella link ymca and the Bellaire Rec center.

not sure about this. i generally played at the y downtown around 5 to 6ish (before our practices started about 8 weeks ago) and they ran full court on both sides, but i played at the post oak location a little bit too. they (non league members) also played full court... before the league action. unless you want to break a full sweat before game time, i wouldn't recommend it... simply because you'll have nothing in the tank for our game (you're one of our youngest players though). they do however have an outside court where guys just shoot around, but the humidity would be a killer... and then to come inside where it's cooler, you may be too cold for the game.

i'm thinking 45 minutes early may be time enough. whudayasay?

Dang go figure, the Post Oak Ymca would cost less than the Stella link one.

    Well gl to yall.
If it isn't too much hassle, yall should post game recaps, I'd read up, just to see how the clutch fans r doing.
