That sounds good too. As long as it's uniform. Are we going for a red color? I guess whatever is cheapest.

OK, I called a place in Stafford that does the lettering/numbering for uniforms.

    The quote so far is:

    -------------------------------

    Letters for names:
(He reccomended iron-on which would be alot cheaper and they will put on themselves)

35¢ per letter + $1.25 charge per shirt

    -------------------------------

    Numbers:

Fuzzy look - 82¢ per number (ie: 33 would be $1.64)

    Flat shiny - 87¢ (ie: 33 would be $1.74)

Of course, if we wanted our number on front and back, that would double that price. (ie: 33 front and back = $3.28 or $3.48)

    -------------------------------

If we wanted to put a 1-color logo on the front of every jersey, it will be a $15 charge for the entire job. So, basically almost $2 per shirt.

    -------------------------------

They can provide the jersey & shorts or we can get our own and let them print on them. I'll see if I can sneak off early from work and run over there to look at thier catalog with the different types of uniforms they sell.

Well, as much as the fee is an issue for some of us, I don't want one of us busting our head on the concrete when we slip trying to cut.

Looks like we are heading indoors today.

Oh, I went by that screen printing place and it looks like a good bet. We just have to figure out what type of shirt, what color, and whether we get the actual shirt from them or buy our own and bring them to print on.

Let's talk about them tonight so I can get cracking on them. It would be nice to get them done ASAP so we dont have to worry about having uni's for the first game. If we really hurry, there is a good possibility I could have them by next Monday's practice.

yea good games...we really did look like a team at times...especailly when stack was on fire. its easy to look good when an teammate cant miss....but what happened that last game? we got raped. i was just glad it was over so i could rest my legs...

oh yea we might need to work on some lay up drills :)

yeah... i wouldn't mind some fastbreak drills next time. i'm sure biggie would be up for it. it's one thing running fast, but running fast while dribbling and trying to get around the defender is something else.

I didn't miss any fast break layups. You need to talk to kam about that one. There was one where I had 2 guys coming up behind me so I just put the breaks on and pumped fake. They flew right by and I put it in easily.

I know stack hates my pump fakes though hahaha

Yeah i know...your pump fakes remind me of Mutumbo when he brings the ball down with 3 defenders around him..only difference is he is 7'3" and can dunk it after that hahah....

yeah we all kind of joked around when it came to layups and missed some stupid stuff but we didnt lose a game so that's a good thing. Ended up making us nice and tired.

I really think we do have a nice inside out game if we continue kicking it out like that and we are hitting out shots they are going to have to leave the middle open where Omega can work easily.

Only thing i think we didn't do that much was set picks for shooters to come around them and pop them...

But definently had good ball movement every game. Except the last game where we were so tired we couldn't move lol.

I hope i am on fire like that during the league games...i can sometimes be like Maxwell just unconcious and then the next time i am completly off and have to work down low....anyways...look forward to our first game.

    UPDATE ON UNI's:

I went back to the shirt shop and they have, what seems to be, some nice reversible mesh jerseys. They are more tank top than sleeveless t-shirt but I picked the ones with the widest shoulder strap. The prices between all the different reversible shirts are well under a dollar.

I only got a look at them through the catalog, so I didnt get a good first hand look at how good they are.

Anyway, they have both Red/White & Navy/White reversible colors.

It will be $20 per jersey, including the inserting of the numbers on the back.

They also have matching shorts, which the guy assured me they were long for basketball (don't want to be a bunch of Stocktons out there), and they are $12.22 a piece.

So, is this what we are doing and if so what color (red or navy) are going to play as?

Are we also going to go ahead and get the matching shorts?

Everyone let me know because, the sooner we make up our minds, the faster I can get the place rolling on them.

Also, post what size jersey and shorts you want and the number you want to wear.

Me, I'm 33. NO, NOT FOR PIPPEN!!!

I vote for Navy though being rockets fans we should have gone with red. Plus red woud allow us to see each other even easier right? I'd still go with navy hahaha

    My number is 7

eh, i don't care about the color. since two people have said navy, i'll go with navy.

size XL and the number 13 please. i don't think we need to buy the shorts. the shirts should be distinctive enough for us to recognize each player.

Yeah no matching shorts. From playing in the league no one really has matching shorts.

    Number 24 for me. XL

Hey Biggie, what size jersey you want?

Also, since HTown is not playing anymore, does that mean MJ is taking his place or are we just running a 7-man roster?

OK, so it looks like we are going with navy blue with no shorts.

So we are each looking at $20 a piece.
