i'll be there today as well, does anyone have an answer to the question about parking? i remember the lot across the gym being permit parking only.. oh i forgot, good work mogrod! those designs look awesome
When I went to UH the lots were all open after a certian time, I am thinking around 5:30. But I am not sure if that is still the case.
i believe free parking is not available until after 8 pm. check the signs when you drive into the lot. they are very strict about it. i got ticketed at 7:50 once. if it is 8 pm cutoff time, you will need to go to the visitors booth across the street and pay $2 for a temporary permit or park at the meters. i think meter parking is free after 6 but those are hard to come by.
Don't forget moola guys and try to bring exact change for entry. Sometimes they don't have enough change.
ok so now in english lol so when and where do we park exactly? i know there is a big parking lot across the street we parked at last time, and thats where they ticket people before 8.
I'll Be there ... bringing my best friend he is on the board too but he wanted to play and just in case we need another person he can fill in.
if you get there at 6:30, check the sign in the parking lot you parked in last time. it will tell you when it is parking permits only. if it says 8 pm, you have to go to the visitors booth for a temp permit (or risk getting ticketed) that will allow you to park in any student lot. if you can find metered parking, then all the better. although the walk may be a bit further. if you aren't sure about where it's free or not, just drive up to the visitor's booth and they'll give you the info. this is what i'd suggest everyone do if they aren't sure. the visitor's booth is across the street from Calhoun.
damnit sorry fellas, unforseen circumstances are gonna force me outta practice today. have a good run, i'll def catch you boys next week.
I wouldn't even worry about the ticket. The ticket is in the UH system. Unless you're a registered student there, there is nothing they can do but give you a ticket. It doesn't affect your Driver's record for the state of texas at all. Of course if you get so many tickets they will tow you but honestly how many timesa re you gonna be at UH?
Thoughts from Monday Night... The first game I played. We got our asses smoked. I think we lost 15-4. There was this one guy that just annoyed the hell out of me. He talked all this ****, and was telling us to get off the court. It was like he was doing all the **** in the game. He didn't do squat. So I watched the game he was playing. He didn't do **** in this game. I just saw him run up and down the court and miss shots. When his game was done, I wanted to tell him good game. And I wanted him to say thanks. I wanted to say, what the hell did you do? I honestly would have followed him into the parking lot. Other than that, I made an open layup.
Yea, I couldn't stand that guy either. I actually said something to him to the effect of "Man, you talk a lot of s**t for not doing anything." He just turned and said "F**k you. Get off the court you losers!" I would have done more but I just didn't give a crap. With people like that, you just end up waisting your breath. Kam, we cleaned up on the other court though. I felt like you and I were the Clutch rejects playing over there, but it was nice to win a few games and I had fun. Those two other guys were pretty annoying as well (guy that forearmed Biggie, and his friend). That's another reason I was happy playing over on the other side. I would have ended up getting in to it with one or both of them. I think we REALLY need to get things rolling in terms of who is playing, people paying, etc. We need to see who is ACTUALLY in or out of this league so we can finalize the rosters, decide what we are going to do for uni, etc. IMO, I say everyone has to pay this upcoming week some time otherwise we move on without you. Just a thought cause, like I said, these teams need to be set, enroll in the league and move forward.
lol, so it just wasn't me and steven who were annoyed by them. the first two games i played i was guarding their two biggest trash talkers. that first game where we got whooped, i was holding that lanky black dude. he tried to run me around the court and didn't do squat. then at the end of the game he proceeds to say, "get off the court!" i couldn't help but laugh. that second game i had to guard their point guard. he talked more than the first guy. i was glad we took them off the court. didn't know how much more of it i could take.
Yeah I heard that as I was catching the end of that game. Definitely gave me more incentive to beat those guys for you . That forearm to my chest/neck area was so blatant. Felt even better to hit game point on them too.
remember the game where we only needed one point, but they fouled us like eight consecutive times or something like that? i mean, schit man... we respected their twenty-one thousand, three hundred and fifty eight traveling calls, so why couldn't they respect ours? i said a few things to him, but he said nothing back. i did hear him that schit to others though. biggie, didn't we win like the next five games or something like that (no thanks to my shooting)? whooped arse! lol. i agree with mogrod. it's about time to put up or shut up as far as money is concerned, so we can decide the final teams (i know we have an idea, but just to make it concrete). do you think the gym would allow us just to play with our clutch members? build better chemistry, get subbing patterns down, etc?
We went undefeated as far as I know. Even when I subbed out for one game. Or maybe I'm just hiding the losses deep deep down in the fiery pits of my soul.
