No problem. League nights are going to be Mondays at 6:30pm at Lee HS at richmond and hillcroft. There will be 4 games that night so we could possibly fall at any of the hour intervals for games. Fee is 56.25 per person for a team of 8. The games will be 2 20min halves and there will be referees. There will be 7 weeks of regular season and after that playoffs. Also I have a list of people who wanted to play and instead of stacking the talent onto one team, I was wondering what you guys thought of having possibly 2 teams of 7 instead. It will cost each person 8 bucks more but allows people to actually play instead of guys sitting on the bench too long. I balanced the team out and this is what I came up with. next monday sounds perfect for me..i will make sure to be there since it's my day off anyways. I am jelous that you guys got to play this weekend while i was out of town losing my money...should have stayed and played ball lol... Anyways..my opinion is that we make 2 teams but kind of get more of the talent on one team so we can go ahead and take the championship for clutchfans lol... To be honest i do'nt care..i think we should just see who we have out there and make sure that both teams have a good combination of everything. They have to have someone with handles for the point and who can run it...have to have at least 2 decent sized guys for the middle etc etc...we have to figure that out when we get on the court though.
totally understandable. I'd like some feeback from Kam and Omega since they are the other 2 that have been there both days and have seen both talent firsthand. I have based it from what I've seen as well since I was there both days. We'll get more of a solid roster come this next Monday. I'll keep you posted as to where we'll be but make sure you guys keep that day free.
will be there again next monday.... as for being on the same team issue....... yeah I know, just going into this the thinking was that we could be on the same team. maybe it's still possible though with rosters not really being finalized until next monday or so (and possibly other people joining between now and then), that there's a chance of us being on the same team. either way though gimme a shout through aim or here.
i'll be there...though the later, the better as working at HP puts me in the middle of nowhere. someone needs to invite rudy t to our practice and have him set up the rosters. he is the only man i will trust to handle this situation.
Mike, I might bring my friend to play with us this monday if he has time. Been playing basketball with him since the 4th grade..don't know if he will have time for the league but he might if we need another person...he runs point.
Hey guys. No luck finding a court all to ourselves. I contacted a couple of places but no responses from the coordinators that were SUPPOSED to call me back. If anything we can head back to UH again. They should be open until 10pm. Also another note. Clubmonkey is not going to be holding the league at Lee HS this summer. They indicated they would update their site as soona s they find a new location but they do still plan on having a league this summer. I will start looking into alternative basketball leagues in case this one falls through.
uh again is cool. what day and time? could we be bastids and "just say no" to non-cfnet people who ask to join in. there's a lot a negatives that can come from trying to pick out the best players and putting them on one team. there's some negatives from the other side also. maybe a meeting between the players before or after the next practice date about it? poll in the hangout for the team names?
Im down to go to U of H...might as well try using my old cougar one card so i don't have to pay but either way i am down to go and play. There is nothing wrong with telling others that we are practicing for a team and we aren't picking up random players etc... One good thing would be if they had their own team and they were just going to run next agains the winning team we might end up having some different compeition and see how we work against that. How soon are we going to be sure about U of H so ic an make sure and take off that night so we can go and play.

if we have 14 to 16 players, to be fair, lets just draw numbers. i don't know how else to do it. either way, it should be fun. i'm available this whole weekend and mondays. don't really have to do anything until late late at night.
Can't really draw numbers. Best to split up the talent so we have 2 even teams going into the league. Can't have all big men and no guards on one team and the other team devoid of any big men. Either team would have very little chance of competing.
