the only interesting about the bballinsiders site is the database on teams' capspace.
anyway that wasn't as crap as other content they have put out there.

 

That's the entire point, so Harden doesn't........screw it.

 

Of course it's not just about taking shots away from Harden. It's also about another high efficiency option that other teams have to worry about when the ball is not in James hands. James is no longer the best point guard on the team. Houston's offense can be lethal with James playing without the ball in his hands and with him sitting on the bench. Last season there was a significant and noticeable drop off in most games when James was out of the game.

 

I mean, if you think about it, what if Harden takes every single shot of the game? He was by far our best offensive player last year, so if he takes every shot, the Rockets would have the best offense in history. And every shot he doesn't take makes us worse on offense.

I mean, that's just basic math.

 

A lot of positivity, but one thing scares me if Lawson starts: Beverley as a playmaker. A line-up of Beverley, KJ, Brewer, Dekker & Capela is not scaring anyone. Let's hope McHale finds a way to have Harden or Lawson on the court at all times.

 

Those 5 will never be on the court together unless it's a blowout

The Lawson/Bev quandary is a good problem to have. I hope D-Mo can be ready for the beginning of the season - he should be the starting 4 over Jones. Interesting to see whether KJ or Thornton will get some time.

 

*insert sexist ******* who doesn't know much about the sport himself comment*.

 

Decent read still believe the Lawson addition is not getting the credit it deserves. His playmaking ability and turnover limiting is going to impact this team so much both in increased FG% and better defense.

The only teams I am concerned with are Cle, GS, and the Spurs. All in all this team is as complete as you could want. Three stars, depth for days and everyone in their prime.

 

Dmo has already surpassed Jones in the Depth Chart. Other than that, good stuff.
