I'm taking a basketball course at my university next semester. I heard you just play games all day, which is nice. I dont know if i would want to take a basketball class that teaches you the fundamentals. Especially if its a college course, i dont think teachers would be expected to do that.
so i didnt jump this time when shooting free throws but now im hitting the back of the rim. and some just rimmed out. some unlucky bounces. ok there is this dribble that im having trouble doing. its the one where your dribbling with your right hand and then you use your pivot foot and spin and you use your left hand and start dribbling.
Free throws are meant to be a high percentage shot...Turning it into a jump shot probably isn't the greatest idea. If you're having trouble getting it over the rim, get stronger. But, really, I doubt that it has anything to do with strength...you probably just need practice. Routine and repetition are also very important for free throws. Find something simple and stick to it. Practice and repeat x 10000000000. I spin the ball, dribble three times, bend the knees, and shoot.
