Cash, so I could sign him. =) Strickland's an FA, and as I've found out, I can do nothing about him right now. Or Vazquez, or Bergeron, or Lloyd. They're all gonna be out of Canada by next year (unless franchise signs them).

I've decided that I'm willing to at least listen to offers for every tradeable player on the roster. This includes Vlad, Tatis, and Vidro. Just keep in mind that I have NO money, and so cannot afford to take on salary.

    Zac D,

I do not totally understand the financial side on the sim, so this offer could be wrong. However, I have at least eigthteen million in monies for FAs and another ten million for contract extentions. Here is the deal. I'll trade 10 million in cash, Tim Salmon, a five million dollar hit (but you'll need a good rightfielder), and a top prospect for Vladimir Guerrero. That will give you at least fourteen million dollars to sign the rest of your players, a decent rightfielder, and a top prospect to go with your younger stars of tomorrow. Hit me back if interested.

    anybody want jose valentin

hes hitting 288, is multipositional and has a long term contract in place at 5 mil for 2 seasons(after this one), his downside is he lacks big time power

i can add matt clement or my 2002 1st round draft pick to make him more beneficial to anyone interested

same with roberto hernandez, he has a 1 yr 6 mil contract and can still be an effective closer(19 saves, 2.88 era, saves with kc), once again i can include clement or a pick to sweeten the deal

if interested reply here or email me at davidv2001@yahoo.com

KBM- Im not shooting your trade down, but that doesnt help Zac extend Vazquez etc. since they would become free agents before trading was allowed.

Well, I didn't say it explictly, but you're right nomar in the sense that he can't sign his players now. The fourteen million, however, will help him sign players when the FA session begins. As it stands now, he won't be able to sign any of his or anyone else's FAs. He's tapped out. The fourteen million dollars, then, represents the potential FAs that he could sign.

It also needs to be repeated that each franchise will have an advantage in signing their players over the other clubs when the FA signing period begins, according to haven, who (I think) said something to that effect in one of the chats. I'm not sure how that advantage works, but at any rate Zac should be able to retain the players he wants or at least find someone equal in the signing period. I don't think there is a fourteen million dollar player out there anyways.

I'm looking to deal Ugueth Urbina. Anybody interested, reply here or talk to me in chat sometime. Two teams have guys that I'd specifically want for him...
    Boston
John Lackey and something else relatively minor should do it.

    The newly-GMed New York Yankees
Randy Choate plus maybe Alex Graman or something else again relatively minor.

Like I said, anybody can go ahead and make an offer. Nomar or TV, let me know if you're interested.

Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez is available for a bat, and a good one at that. I can take on salary.

    Sincerely,
    The Yankees.

Ron Villone or Brian Bohannon can be had relatively cheaply. i would take a decent OF for either.
