    No, IMO the Astros need to get younger and draft and develop their own players.

    Would you trade Oswalt for the proposed package that the White Sox put together for Peavy? I wouldn't only because I would have wanted Gordon Beckham included in a package.

    The Astros do need to get younger...but Peavy is not the sort of pitcher a franchise happens upon just everyday. If Peavy were an older guy, I'd agree with you. But if you have a chance to get a Jake Peavy for younger talent...and you believe you can keep Peavy around a while....you do it. He becomes the anchor of your staff immediately.

    Yes, I know it's still too early in the season to proclaim Wandy the new team ace. To this point, though, any starter not named Johan Santana can line up behind Wandy if they were to be traded to the Astros.
