Why should it matter if these guys were using during a period when they weren't banned and when baseball turned a blind eye to the whole thing. That's the thing that gets me. And how Selig has talked about retroactively punishing these players. You serious?
Yep. Tired of hearing about this. It looks like this "list" will be news for decades to come as names slowly leak out. Its like pulling a bandaid off one centimeter at a time. Just get it over with. Meanwhile, what the hell is so hard about mandating monthly, or even weekly standardized drug tests in all these sports leagues? What is the hold up? Why can't we have a consensus? The policies are so splintered between every team, league, etc. Is this a players union thing? It makes no sense to do it this way. Either allow everything or allow nothing and test for it habitually and universally.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm waiting for Pujols' name to come out. I just can't look past his drastic weight loss around the same time all this came about... maybe he just lost his baby fat
Not saying he is, isn't, or ever has, but he is as good as anyone has ever been and he is the best player in baseball and it isn't close.
He is the best hitter, but he doesn't play a plus defensive position and taking that into account I would still say A-rod is the best player.
He plays amazing defense at first though, and the gap between their offense is enough that I think he is past A-Rod.
A Rod is the best player in baseball in my opinion. He plays one of the tougher positions and won gold gloves at short but he got moved to 3rd and still was very good at it. He can easily win a gold glove at 3rd. His power is still there even though his average has dipped but I doubt his average will stay this low. Just wait till hes healthy.
Considering that 12 of his 19 homeruns this year have been game tying or game winning home runs. Somewhere around that, maybe 12 but he has been solid in the clutch this year.
