justtxyank, was the game in Balty or in Yankee Stadium?

I am asking because I think, no matter who's playing, the game should be delayed to allow even batting of 3 outs for either team. In short, did Baltimore get to bat with NO RAIN and the Yankees batted with RAIN?

I really don't see the travesty. the yankees had the lead in the top of the 11th
(after the rain delay) and gave up two runs in the bottom of the inning to lose the game...

    Game Over

Top of the 9th inning in Baltimore. Damon leads off with a double and then the rain starts. The Yankees had to bad with it, the Orioles did not.

Yes, they ended up losing in 11, in large part because they had no pitchers left. If the umpires had delayed the game and the Yankee hitters had batted in the 9th with a runner on second, things would have been different potentially.

The kicker though was the crew chief yelling at Girardi that it was barely raining when he came out to protest why the game was still being played and then once Matsui got out called for the tarp.
