Amen. I particularly liked the comment earlier that Barry "made the games exciting".

I would have been mad last year but Barry is just sitting on the bench this year...so I dont care....maybe its better for him.

I think it's a good move. We need to integrate the younger guys into the offense more. Luther Head & Keith Bogans both could use some experience if they're gonna be role players on our roster in years to come.

As for the move, it sucks, but I don't see it as a bad move. Barry could barely move the two or three times he made it onto the courtafter his injury. If he had come back shooting lights-out then maybe he would have been more difficult to cut, but he wasn't even shooting well.

As for the PG situation, the article sounded like they had the burger before the trade deadline and they talked about what they were going to do with him. That would have been before the trade we made, but if Barry was planning on retiring barring a great offer from a great team, we might have just decided to let him go for the roster spot rather than trading a guy who didn't want to be traded (again, ala JJ). IOW, I don't think we are looking to make another move for a PG as I think that conversation took place before the trade deadline.

I certainly hope that this move was made so that we can acquire Tim Thomas. I always thought he was overpaid, but there is no doubting his ability.

YEAR FG% 3P% FT% RPG APG SPG TO PF PPG
    Career .442 .367 .766 4.0 1.4 .79 1.55 2.80 11.9

Nice three point shooting, OK boards for a 3, almost a steal a game, and nearly 12 points for his career.

Can't find it anywhere in the news on the net, or the Spurs site.

If Brent was waved, we should replace Jon with Brent.

This was a good move by the club, he will still get paid, but they are moving on....

If the Rockets don't bring Calvin back, I hope they'll hire JB. I also hope he'll heal up and rejoin the team, along with a completely well Sura, next year. I'm also hoping for world peace.

I'm sensitive to the naive finger-pointing, monday-morning-quarterbacking and impatience that all too often gets exhibted.

is it just me or the signing of sura a waste of time, i know he helped big time last year but then fizzled out in the playoffs and wont play a minute this year....so what we gave him a 3 year deal and he playes 30 or so games???

Tony Delk would have been a good shooting option...

    What's Spreewell's situation?
