Sam is just an angry twisted malcontent, with no real clue about basketball.

Just read his posts, and you will see.

ESPN reported that Barry felt that the Spurs were closer to winning a championship. OUCH! So much for the theory that FAs will choose the Rockets now that T-Mac is here...

Now that's being unkind! Sam's an angry man because he's got vision while the rest of the world's wearing bifocals.

Damon Jones HAS to be the pick. He should have been all along!

He is a great clubhouse guy, he gets along well with the other players, he shoots a good 3 ball, he's cheap, is one of the league leaders in assit to turnover ratio, and is local to the Houston area.

What's not to like about this guy?

Anyone who watched him play at the UH knows that he plays his ass off every minute of every game. He has no ego whatsoever and is a total team player. There is honestly nothing not to like about him. You do not need a superstar at every position. He runs a good point and does it efficiently. I hope like hell we sign him.

The only thing that really had me sold on Barry was his height. The thought of having a 6'6 and 6'8 backcourt was exciting to me.

But the need is really a pass first point that CAN hit the open J.

    Snow, NO!

D-Fish, streaky shooter, "good Defense", remember he had on a

Lakers uni taking those fake @$$ charges.

D Jones, dont know much about him, but hear he can shoot and would be cheaper.

If Jones is the shooter y'all say he is and is cheaper, why not?

One factor that would be difficult to account for would be the "I'm pissed that they cut me two years ago in traning camp so I'm going to screw around with them/make them pay if they want me" factor. This, of course, assumes that he has multiple offers so that he could have that luxury, but I'm fairly sure that he does.

Different coaching staff, therefore no problem IMO.

I am sure the Bucks want him back considering TJ is still a mystery.

He has been a back up and journeyman all of his pro career. There is some reason teams keep letting him go.

Don't get me wrong. I like his game and his price. I love that he is a Cougar. I just don't think either he or Lue offeres the quality to be a starting guard for a playoff bound team that hopes to go into the second round.

I like Fish OK, but am not excited about him. I think Snow is the right player, but has the wrong contract. I could live with a Snow for MoT trade, but I can'timmagine that Philly wants another ex-Rocket not quite good enough power forward.

Not sure what our options from here.

This is what being to patient cost us. I wished we would have went after him more strongly. Hopefuly we will get a point before the better PG's are all gone.

Part of the thread title is "Rockets were pursuing Daniels". Les, CD, ad JVG had a look at Barry and decided we don't want or need him.

is this the "extremely unlucky" thing matt jackson was talking about when he said we would have something by the week's end or is there something else we don't know?

Matt Jackson updated his statement to be that the Rockets would get one of their 5 guys they are after, but that he couldn't promise it would be this weekend.

His post is below. I don't think he was giving any kind of inside info, just saying what he thought could happen.

Edit to put the link to his post in.
