Baron Davis out; torn MCL, ACL

    He is known for his strict diet.

    I think it might be time for ol' tubby to hang em' up. I honestly thought it was a stretch for him to be playing this year, but the Knicks needed him.

    I've actually always compared the careers Baron Davis and Steve Francis and it looks like both of their legacies may end up being that of unfulfilled potential.

    NEW YORK -- An MRI on Monday revealed that New York Knicks point guard Baron Davis has suffered a partial tear of the patella tendon in his right knee and complete tears of the right anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments, according to the team.

    Davis is expected to undergo surgery later this week. Recovery time is approximately 12 months.
